  1. Also fun fact, I couldn't quickly figure out how to keep the joystick on 'hold' on the Malevolent. So I just dangled the patchcables on the joystick which weighted it down and kept it in place. I'm sure there is a more elegant solution, but this worked 🤣
  2. Hey wow that is awesome! And as intended. I don't need a big venue or a large following. Just people hanging out enjoying the music. It's what I do with friends. Oh boy do I have some, not sharable, and perhaps some alcohol induced recordings.
  3. Thanks for clearing it up. That's what I get for these 'trust me bro' sources.
  4. Wow I'm seeing a lot of plugins that are 29,99. Who would have thought.
  5. I don't think so. Cameron has done a lot of UVI marketing in the past and seems to be their go to guy right now. Benn is just another on that list I guess. He seems to be going at it from a different angle.
  6. Have they made anything new recently? Could be an abandoned brand which got a bad rep and they just decided to start something new instead of trying to fix their name. Which is logical.
  7. By the looks of it, they combined Gold (=Neve), Sand (=SSL) and Pink (=API).
  8. Not new, it's a 'polisher' for the master, 3 years old.
  9. Yep it worked. And where you can redeem your licenses I found a license key for United Plugins (which is basically Melda as far as I can tell) for FireMaster.
  10. As I read somewhere on the internets (source, trust me bro), the bad rep Soundspot gets is weird. According to this source Soundspot is under the same corporate umbrella as Baby Audio. As a matter of fact, Denise Audio, Baby Audio and Soundspot are the same developer, same DSP, same team etc. I can definitely see some resemblance between Baby and Denise. But can you say 'let's do some very bad coding and call it Soundspot'? Is that how coders works?
  11. Hey! Great news: The biggest sale of the year is active at PML! If you were waiting to buy a pack, course or a bundle, now is the best time of the year to buy. There won't be a better deal later, this is THE sale! 50% OFF every item in the store. We decided to keep the math simple! https://www.productionmusiclive.com/collections/on-sale ------------------------------------ Easily my favourite sample pack makers. Check out their co-ops with Orchestral Tools for example. For electronic music / techno, this is about the best there is.
  12. He mentions some guy named Fleer. Our @Fleer?
  13. Ambitious? Perhaps. Challenging? Yes! There was a lot of mixing to be done because there was a lot going on at the same time, most of the times. I think mixing took as long as setting up the livejam and recording it. But here it is, a jam using everything I have. This will probably be the last time I do something like this. Sometimes less is more, and I will try to keep things simpler in the future. But this had to be done 😝 I need to visit the barber...
  14. I'll bet the guys and gals at Warm Audio were following the whole Behringer 'clone' debate with sweat on their backs.
  15. I'm happy with my subscriptions to Plugin Alliance (the forever 29 one, which is kond of a hybrid? but I'm counting it), Splice and Arcade. The last one offers a LOT and has very high standards on what they offer. What I'm seeing here (I haven't watched any videos yet) is a synth with an online collection of sounds. Basically endless. If it's up to par with Arcade, it could be interesting. Especially when you haven't got a lot of other flagship synths. Still a bit expensive though. What's more interesting is watching the fallout in synthfluencer land. It seems nobody got the heads-up this was going to be subscription and all the usual salespeople are mad. I'm seeing them flocking to X, complaining that they feel they have broken the trust of their Discord or Patreon community. Even some are calling for (extra?) compensation. I'm not sure on which side I am. Probably somewhere in the middle. My boiling blood from the Behringer thing still hasn't cooled down, but they do have a point that Minimal Audio should have disclosed this information to the zero day reviewers. It's not a small detail. On the other hand, it doesn't/shouldn't affect the technical review part. And I wonder how many would have declined the opportunity to do a zero day review IF they had known.
  16. Alright I have the Studer and don't want/need more channel strips, I barely use them. I will hold out for a better deal on the 2A bundle.
  17. I already own a couple of these, but this would add the LA2A collection, Oxide tape and Century Tube channel. For €53. Tempting...although I'm really only interested in the LA2A. Any opinions on the Oxide and Century?
  18. Benn is a smart guy and uses his intelligence and creativity to make some awesome content. For example: who has the idea to learn about a speech jamming, explain it technically AND also build the thing?! So it struck me as weird he would frame it like this. He is also very vocal on X about this whole saga. He probably didn't intend to get pulled down, but he HAD to know that using these words would have some consequences. So that raises suspicion that he did it on purpose to get some conflict/attention going. Anyway, my previous remarks are indeed my take on this. It's like watching an argument between a burglar and a car thief about rising income tax. Ps: on the so called antisemitic thing. I do believe that was 'just' a f*ck up. The guy depicted isn't even jewish. They designed that guy with a big nose to sniff corks (aka being elitst). The nose would be the only link with a jewish caricature. Now Behringer had no business to attack someone personally, but that accusation was just silly to me.
  19. And the GEM has a 3A in it as well.
  20. The plot thickens. The latest Benn Jordan video is down (private). I saw it coming. He was really hammering the point that Behringer was "counterfeiting". I even googled what that meant in a legal context in the US. I'm guessing Behringer didn't like being accused of a criminal offence. Benn had to know this.
  21. Hit me up when you are in The Netherlands 😎
  22. Haha yes it is very easy. Luckily I have some pressure to actually make something and record. I want to continue my streak of weekly jams. I think I can go for a year (that would be the end of january when I posted thee first one). But also on the day itself because I want to record with daylight. The days become shorter and shorter so I have to actually get something done in a reasonable amount of time.
  23. I haven't really cared a lot until now. I think the whole Behringer thing triggered it for me. There is a whole group of so called synthfluencers (who have made great content which I've enjoyed!) who group together and form a united front against Behringer. And it's not that Behringer is the ethical one here. There's a group of disingenuous people who are in no position to lecture. I'm pretty much at a point where a plugin release which is backed by the usual names will mean an automatic "no" from me.
