  1. AmpVibe is a virtual rotary speaker effect inspired by the cabinets of vintage tonewheel organs, adding motion and grit texture to the sounds.

    Features:

Speed: Sets the rate of the pitch modulation. Lower values produces a relaxed swirling. Lower values produces a relaxed swirling. Higher values produces a stronger warbling.

Depth: Adjusts the depth of the pitch modulation. As this control is increased, the motion transforms from subtle vibrato to chorus, creating a spinning rotary motion.

Vibrato/Chorus: Switch to select between chorus and vibrato modes.

Mic Distance: Controls the distance between the mics and the virtual cabinet.

Mic Spread: Controls the stereo channel separation. Useful for widening a flat sound to produce more depth and color. When turned on, it creates the illusion that the speakers are spread farther apart.

Preamp Drive: Overdrives the input feeding the rotary speaker effect. From fuzzy to harder overdrives, to add grit to organ and guitar tones.

Booster: Controls the amount of overdrive, simulating the tone of an overdriven rotary speaker cabinet tube amplifier. When the knob is set fully counterclockwise, the overdrive effect is bypassed. Turn up for a more overdriven cab sound.

Saturator: Adjusts the Booster incoming signal by increasing from a subtle fattening to drastic saturation. Higher gains will yield clipping distortion.

Blend (Dry/Wet): Sets the balance between the unprocessed (dry) signal and the processed (wet) signal that will be blended.

Preset Manager: 'Browser' to load and save presets and banks.

24 Presets included. Ability to create new rotary speaker cabinet effects:

    Cacophony ( kah-kof-oh-nee ) : A discordant and chaotic mixture of sounds.

Cacophony is easily the most massive collection of live concert hall performance sound effects, room tones, crowd reactions, orchestral tuning drones and incidental sound effects you will find anywhere. As we accelerate toward technical perfection and hyper-realism in the musical world with the help of technology, it's important to remember the living flaws and details that make the experience of listening to live music so immersive. What is often most missing is the ghost of the place, the murmur and roar of the audience, the players tuning up - all of those little sounds in between. In their absence, we often feel something missing, though we cannot always put our finger on what.

This library is the perfect collection of elements that can be used for sound-design in any style of music, video games, movies, VR, television and apps, or to simulate the environment of a live performance whenever you need it. The possibilities are endless. It's equipped with a powerful GUI, layer mixing options, performance tools and 20 custom FX presets designed to fire up your creativity. It's made for the full version of Kontakt 5.5+

You can purchase Cacophony on sale now for only $13.00 (MSRP $19)

    Announcement + FREE Download

You might have an extensive catalog of the finest virtual instruments available, running through the highest-quality effects out there. But when you start recording, something still doesn't seem right.

Here's a fact that the music software industry doesn't want you to know: that click track you've been recording to is based on archaic sounds that have no place in a modern music workstation environment! Most of them were created ten, twenty years ago by an unpaid intern.

Your click track shouldn't be a forethought -- actually, it's a critical element that impacts the resulting quality of your recordings.

We've been working on the solution, and are excited to announce our forthcoming collection of bespoke metronome sounds.

We've recorded a sizable collection of metronomes: everything from classic digital metronomes from the past few decades to that old wind-up mechanical metronome that your childhood piano teacher loved (and that you hated). We also employed several phenomenal sound designers to expertly craft metronome sounds worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster. In total, it will give you a myriad of sounds to select between for your rhythmic inspiration.

Here's a free sample of this upcoming product, a Seiko SQ50, which is included in the '90s category in the collection.

Enjoy, and stay tuned for more news on this exciting new product. Your click tracks will sound so good, you'll be tempted to leave them in the final production!

  4. Sundog 3.6 available

I just released version 3.6 of Sundog Song Studio. And I also created a 10% discount deal for you :)

With Sundog it is possible to develop new chord progressions, melodies, basslines, and arpeggios within minutes. The standalone composition software connects to any DAW via MIDI.

    New in Sundog 3.6.0:

Import MIDI chord progressions with automatic scale detection.

    Bigger keyboard in Chords View.

"Chords -> Transpose all chords up" and "Chords -> Transpose all chords down" for chord progressions.

    Load and save song parts.

Export and import song parts as clipboard data.

Bugfix: "Randomize velocity" wasn't recreated correctly when using "Copy instrument -> Paste instrument".

Bugfix: Long instrument names caused button layout problems.

You can see the MIDI chord progression importer in my newest video:
