  1. Route everything to the same auxiliary track or bus and record the output of that track. Or, assign the same MIDI track to each synth and repeat, using one keyboard as the controller. Or, assign each synth to the same "New Patch Point". You'll get it
  2. First of all, the overall quality of the production is quite professional, as I would expect from you. I think I preferred the Orfium link, but I don't know if that's because it seemed a little louder. But, why not use wave files instead? I upload 16/44.1 wave files to Bandlab - do they convert to mp3s? I don't know, just asking. I'm seeking the best platform, myself.
  3. This is a lovely song with good vocals and a sweet sound. I couldn't quite make out the lyrics because the reverb kind of buried them, at least on my end. I think if you play with the mix a little, this will be stellar! Stay safe and keep writing.
  4. Exquisite! As for the drums, the part is just right, but the drums sounded like they were in a different space than the rest of the tracks, to me. Perhaps a bit drier and more up front?
  5. Thanks Makke! The vocals were designed to be a bit obscured, thus the title "Invisible". Thanks for your reply. Good observation! I'll take that into account on the next pass. Appreciate your comments, John. You know you have to do something with these toys That's why this is called an experiment. Sorry that I've been short on time lately, but I'll try to get to your songs very soon. I'm afraid this pandemic has caused some degree of mayhem in my family that I have to attend to, Take care everybody!
  6. Thanks for your encouragement! I used a laptop for monitoring during the mixdown. Tom, thank you so much! I'm using a preset modeled after Gary Moore in the latest version of S-Gear with my Strat. That sudden stop during the mayhem is intentional; I got the idea from someone else somewhere along the way. Douglas, thank you for your kind words! I'm using headphones more than ever in cross checking my mixes. I'm glad it translated well. I'm always flattered by the PG comparison. Wow, thank you very much! Daryl sent me such well polished tracks that I had little to do but not screw up my tracks. If Daryl can stand doing another, I'm game. But, these days, time is at a premium so stay tuned.
  7. A few days ago, Daryl (1968) Greenway sent me an instrumental track with the working title "Dependence Day" and asked me to write some lyrics and vocals and a lead guitar part. We had done this last year, with me providing the instrumental tracks, and Daryl providing lyrics and vocals which resulted in "This Weird Love". The instrumental tracks blew me away, and within an hour, I wrote the lyrics and started working on my guitar part. A day later, here is the result: https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14013775 Daryl provided synths, piano, bass, drums, and 2 guitar tracks (panned left and right), while I did vocals, lead guitar, and toms on the break. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as we did, and we welcome your responses and suggestions. As always, thanks!
  8. Bjorn, you and Douglas did a good job on this production! You are quite the storyteller, and this is one to be proud of. Btw, it's such a pleasure to work with you, and I want all to know that. Carry on
  9. Makke, you have taken the place of the late, great Dick Dale. By now, you have quite an impressive repertoire of guitar instrumentals that you've created over the years. Keep it up!
  10. Yes! This does work. The picture is disturbing once you study it, and the music, with its dissonance, conveys that mood very well. The piece is mixed very well, also. Kudos!
  11. I admire anyone who's brave enough to take on the Beatles. This song is definitely not one of their easiest songs to cover, but you did a terrific job! You stayed true enough to the original to give me the flavor I want, yet put enough of your own spin on this to make it unique. Bravo!
  12. Thank you again, Tom. I did post Defying Gravity a few years ago, and it got a good response. It inspired the astronaut picture on my website. Thank you so much kakku. Especially all your support over the past years! Good deal! I tend to agree.
  13. I want to thank all of the kind words from all my friends here, and, especially, Bjorn for writing such a witty song. He's truly one of the better lyricists around.
  14. OK, I turned the vox up. https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14005443 more?
  15. If you have Melodyne, just drag the file to the timeline and Melodyne will set the tempo.
  16. If Waves offers H-Reverb for $29, pick it up. It's very comprehensive and has a ton of presets for starting points.
  17. Who else can make a dystopian future seem so entertaining? Tom, this is superb! In many ways, this is a technical guidepost for the rest of us. It's inspiring in many ways. Congrats!
  18. Douglas, I had to listen to this a few times because the lyrics are worth repeating. Terrific song! The flute caught my attention, as it is very prominent, and I would suggest panning it closer to the middle so that it doesn't cover up the piano (?) in the right channel. I, too, like the vocal treatment and the overall vibe of this piece. Though your songs have a familiar and nostalgic vibe, I think you are unique and in your element. Nice work with Bjorn, btw.
  19. Jesse! Do you have a sweet tooth? I love the song and vocal, and my suggestion would be to flip the volume ratio of the instruments vs. vocal so the voice doesn't get buried. Otherwise, sweeeeet!
  20. Wookie, this is like time travel for me. It takes me back to the time when I started listening to and experimenting with synths in the 80's. Very nostalgic! This is one of my all time favorite songs of yours! I'm glad I made it to this party.
  21. LOL the 16th month depends on what country one lives in Wookie, thanks for taking the time! Perhaps you've noticed that a few others have said the same thing about the vocal. This is exactly what I'm looking for. Keep up the good work!
  22. Thanks, David, I did have a lot of fun. I just started humming and scatting into this f/x, and it resulted in this song. That's just scratching the surface, so stay tuned. Gary, I'm not ducking the vocal, but I can understand your concern. The vocal actually consists of 3 layers- one with f/x and 2 without. I may have gotten caught up in the "Invisible" motif a little too much regarding the mix? I don't mind remixing this, and thank you for taking a second listen!
  23. Bjorn, thanks for you kind words and advice. I took your suggestion for the remix. Stay tuned.
