Are you using jump shapes?  Jump shapes only apply their value at the time they hit a node - anything in between effectively means "no value".

No the envelopes are pegged all the way across the track. The nodes are still there from my edits, but the envelope it in the ceiling. I still haven’t figured out how this happens. Still trying to figure it out. It ends up happening to several tracks simultaneously sometimes.

  2. I just had to post one more time.

Just wow. I figured this would cost hundreds. I was shocked. Thanks again Fleer!!

What does Bapu say - got it! The only thing I don’t like is that when long sustained notes decrescendo, the vibrato should lessen. Otherwise very good.

  3. Fleer - I think what bothers me most about this is the vibrato. The vibrato on a flute,  is not tremolo only, like in this library. That is what sounds bad. A flute always has pitch change in the vibrato. The air pulses hard and soft for the vibrato and creates the tremolo. But the fact is, if you blow harder the pitch will slightly rise and so do the formants. This patch has a GREAT tone. The recording is stellar, but the vibrato should probably be redone.  By the way, I’m still looking for the perfect vibrato plug-in. If you know one let me know. I will certainly check it out too.

Wow, I had no idea about you being flautist.  It can be a beautiful instrument!! Thanks for the heads up on the DIo Claire flute suggestion.  I’m headed there now to check it out.

I guess I should pm you. I did some flute recordings and the mic was WAY to close. I got too much air and the tongue air attack was really loud and bad. I have tried every compressor under the sun, with no luck. I was going to get the demo of smart DeEss to see if it would help.

    Thanks,

    Max

  4. Normalizing might not level tracks if their are any high peaks in the tracks. If the songs are kind of level with no big peaks the mp3 level might help. Like John said there could be problems if it contains dissimilar information or loud peaks.

like John said again why would you use mp3s?

Automatic leveling is just guessing. The ear is the only way to adjust them correctly.

This contains  a compressor and a limiter. This is 2 processes the help “fix” those peaks. After this is done the  normalizer will process the files making it a little more accurate than a normalizer alone.

Did I say it’s Free? You should give it a try!

I gladly offer my contrasting favorable opinion. And I’m a flute player. Love playing this one.

I play flute and many other instruments. Of my many life jobs, band director is one of them. What do you like so much about this one?

edit- do you have this in a song we could hear?

  6. I use a lot of super glue in the jewelry business. I alway score any flat metal surfaces. It can triple the contact area if done well. Then again I use a .22mm saw blade. The thing I don’t  like about those skinny little saws is that you definitely cannot sneeze and it’s better to hold your breath when you saw lol.

  7. It only saves audio connected to the version you save as. If you have an earlier version of the song, the audio files of the older version is not saved unless they are part of the save as version. Same as does not copy audio from older versions. Only the audio files associated with the save as .cwp. If you are on version 20, version 5 could have missing audio clips and might not open properly from this folder.

  8. Man, you guitar guys have it made. I just can't figure out where to engrave my Motif. I guess I could just carve little letters in the keys, so I could find which notes to play lol.

Wow, that lettering is good, but that cat is great. Bitmaps are tricky with a laser. I have used CorelDRAW for years for this stuff, and I know how tricky bitmaps can be. Did you use the software that came with the laser, or other graphic program?

Oh yes, when you get ready for that diamond to put in the cat's eye, just let me know. I probably have a few, lying around, you could have. I could probably find some stone that would be the color to match the actual color. Just let me know millimeters size you need.

  9. Like Promidi said the filter dialogue is very powerful. To be more picky about which notes are changed you can use the filter dialogue. In cakewalk you can use edit / Select by filter. Choose the velocity range then I usually select process / scale velocity by a percent to keep all the notes individual velocity ratios. I have used this several times t tweak note velocities. There are many possibilities with this filter.

I do think the csmulticompander will do what you want with a couple of movements of the sliders.

  10. This is actually video software but works on a few types of audio files. Three great features. 1 it’s free! 2 It will do 40 songs rather quickly. 3 It is pretty good at what it does.
From the web - it is not a compressor, normalizer or limiter although it contains all three.

I should have said 4 great features #4 It is super easy to use.

You should give it a try!
