Thanks mibby, I guess I need to try it again. I have mixbox and infinity strip and don’t use them either. I am a waves Mercury guy. I use Waves, PA and FFilter in all my projects. I don’t do WUP till I feel it is a necessity. I guess the $13 is not bad.
Thanks -
I tried to use Omni channel, but it never felt right. Don’t know if I want to put the time into V2.
Upgraders - What do you think? -
I love the thing. I used it in the studio for a while. Later on I moved it to the TV. Best move I made in a while. I wish it had a “loud TV commercial” setting to turn that stuff down. At least leveling it helps. I don’t have it now, but I really miss it on the TV.
If you use an external TV sound amp, try it there too lol!Now I have a mind set of less in and clean as possible going in. Once you have the audio ITB you can work miracles with it. Look at the S/N and compare it to your sound card. If it is close to the same, it might help boost the signal and get above some of the floor noise. Being able to push things going in a bit without adding IM or more noise would be a good thing.

Thanks. I was hoping it wasn’t 1-2gig lol
Most sample people think bigger samples libraries are better, which is not always the case.

I couldn’t find out what size the swatches is. Can you tell us?

The hard drive will have a folder \waves somewhere. This Is where licenses are stored, unless you have iLok. If the folder is not there, it will cause you to get re-authorized on that computer. That can be a pain!
I’ve always wondered why no one ever changed the code to used the function() from the preferences?? They might just be waiting to do a total rewrite.

I have been trying out a new program called mailwasher. I had an exposed email address for my store. A ton of spam

This might be fun. I used to have a Crumar. I cant remember the model. It had some draw bars and lots of flip down presets. I googled it with no luck.
Thanks. -

Do I have to buy the app and the voices?

I want to get started. With this sale which 2 female and 1 male voices would you recommend? Do I have to buy synth V as well?

“Nate:if you are adding multiple track folders In most DAWs the add track dialog allows you to specify the type of track as well as the number of tracks to add”
Should the add “track” dialogue say
add track ….
next dialogue Audio =___? (How many),
Midi =___? (How many)
Folders =___? (How many)
Sub audio= ___? (How many)
Sub Midi = ___? (How many)
This could all be added at one time.

think the Track Folder thing is a complete non-factor and automatically putting the user in an active text field feels like a bad idea
It wasn’t exactly/only talking about track folders, but any time a computer can save me 3 seconds, that is what I expect it to do. Any place that can be less clicks is a bonus. It looks like there would be a branch in the programming. If multiple folder are needed with no title there should be a way to do this as well. The size of the Samp clip editor is a bonus as well. It is one dialogue with 3 sets of multi-function controls. Only one thing I would add would be to implement a mix slider/knob on the plug-in page.

if you are adding multiple track folders, should there be a dialogue to add more than one at a time? -
Yes it works great

To me, if this was the only way to adjust fades and all of that, I'd call THAT clunky because in CbB you can do a lot of things right from the Track View. As it is, there's a lot of this in the Clip Inspector. Some good ideas in that, though
You can do them both ways in samplitude. Fades, cross fades etc. You can grab the clip end and easily do a fade just like cakewalk. Multiple ways on many things just like cakewalk.

Clips can be crossfaded without the Extra menu clip editor. Fades and all the stuff you can do in cake, can be done in samplitude as well. There are several ways to do clip fades not just the clip editor. But, the editor is good for more detail. It is also very easy to add several FX effects per clip. Rearranging them and deleting them is very easy. Clip gain is easy too. It is already on every clip just put nodes on it or move the whole thing. In cakewalk you have to go click the track header and change the edit filter to clip gain. You don’t have to setup the clip gain in Samp it’s always there.
There are things you do in programming to help the user work faster. One of my favorite things is to always put the most used function on the top of menu choices etc. Just thought - every time you add a new track folder to cakewalk , what is the second thing you do? Type in the title of the folder. The cursor should be setting there waiting on your text. There are hundreds of these. Many are very minor but add up after several hours of work. -

The shortcomings in video is definitely a reason a lot of film composers do recommend other DAWs to do the tasks
Or video software.
Adobe Premiere Pro
Vegas Video (The audio here is much like Cakewalk. It would be easy to use for any Cake user serious about film and audio)
DaVinci Resolve (Want to test some real power free?)
Apple Final Cut Pro X
CyberLink PowerDirector 365 (I hate renting)
Active Presenter (Want to just have some fun try this)
I would like to see a little more video functionality. Adding a "podcast" feature might grab a few more users. (Sorry, no new features I'm off track again)
(Sorry for the Video stuff) I didn't mean to get so off track but it's really late.
With positive discussion, we might be able to help mold the future of Cakewalk.

I think you mean thin, not clear?
1) Select the Staff View
2) Click Print Preview button
3) Press Configure button.
4) Select 2-Regular, Common, or Ordinary
I think that is what you want.

I have plate 140. If you want to post a link to a google drive or something, I would be glad to take a look. I am very curious about what’s going on. If you could make a bun, that would work. If you don’t have a google drive I could set up a folder for you to upload the project to my google drive.
