  1. Organizing Plugins and trying to de clutter. I don't use any 32bit anymore and I don't want PopClicks or Dropouts. Which do you use and why? Better to use VST3 x64 or VST x64? If there are known issues please post here.
  2. (Right Click Menu) Right Click + Split Auto Random Color or pre determined Color Sequence Currently a recording is split have to go to all the way over to track info to change the Clip Property> Foreground. This would be really cool to pre assign a series of colors when splitting a long piece of music into different parts. each part would be a different color shade stops apart. 1) Pre select a color (256 shades of Red) 2) Random (infinite shades of color) RCM Split at selection would have the options to create a series of user defined colors or random colors.
  3. It might be intended to work this way? If a measure of music is pre selected and "Double Click or Drag to add selection" it makes a tiny chunk, and ignores the size already selected. It's not a problem as I'm only now getting to learn it.
  4. @bvideoI think 'Snap Offset' is what i'm interested in. There was a demo years ago by Joey Sturgis where he tracked guitars, selected the clip and split ate each transient. @Blogospherianmanyea I don't think looping is what I want, but not clear about your technique. Is there a vid reference of this?
  5. I guess at this price range they all do about the same thing? $99 Softube Tape - Tape Machine Emulation $30 Analog Pro $50 Kramer Master Tape
  6. @Craig Andertonthank you that really is well explained AND with audio examples! Your ability to write music and detailed articles is impressive! @GreenLightyea a good example is $99 Softube Tape vs $29 Analog Pro. Hmm I need my song to worble like it's played on a FisherPrice Stereo plastic Disc! ..oh and don't forget the dust noise, gotta add a sprinkle of that. It's the same in 3D animation, gotta add the imperfections to make it look real. Digital and HD and 8k etc, I think that we liked the lie. Kids these day don;t even know what quality is. lol
  7. Friend is interested in Cakewalk for Mac is this correct? any Mac users comment onSONAR Mac Prototype? BandLab is the company AND the name of the online recording software it has a Mac version. Cakewalk is the DAW recording software made by BandLab and it's Windows only. SONAR Mac Prototype https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR-Mac-Prototype
  8. I'm not an engineer and my ears might not pick up the subtly so Anyone that has an opinion Tell me About - Analog Tape Saturation. What is considered 'the best' and why. There are so many including the built in Cakewalk tape. I think it has something to do with making the high-end not so brittle sounding?
  9. "Play better" My internal metronome is off, Thanks for the info.
  10. What are some good techniques to make Acoustic Guitar Loops without the pick attack being cut off? I notice the transient (pick) is always before the beat. If the loop is made it cuts it off. Looks like two loops are needed.
  11. Cakewalk FX Region to Melodyne 5 How to get a simple B Major Chord to not look like a snake with the head cut off? The notes were picked sequentially. 7 notes total. B (A string 2nd fret) F# B A#
  12. Hey thanks everyone! I should mention why I'm asking. I was watching a tutorial and paraphrasing what the the Engineer said; Convolution reverbs have the same tail and can sound sterile, so adding a Lexicon (Algorithmic) reverb to the overall mix can help add helpful "artifacts" So are reverbs default Algorithmic unless stated as being convolution? so far the Brainworx sounds good + the automation is interesting. I wonder if any other reverbs have that instant ABCD selection. Breverb 2 and whatever the Pro channel reverb is, all i've tried.
  13. So a long time ago in a galaxy not so far away Cakewalk contained Lexicon reverbs. Does Cakewalk have any Algorithmic Reverbs? (like Lexicon) What are some good 3rd party non-Convolution reverbs?

  15. So glad this is being discussed! It's the most important feature I need for my workflow. It would be nice to hear from anyone that understands the different Key Switch techniques implemented by different DAWs and which works best and why. The way I understand it CC program changes would be one of the best ways to change articulations? Perhaps any experienced will comment.
  16. Feature Request - Dark Theme the Plug-in Manager. Better yet, Dark theme Everything
  17. Request: something similar to Logics 'Articulation IDs' or 'BRSO Articulate' - The Color Trigger Keyswitches
  18. Does Cbb have something similar to Logics 'Articulation IDs' or 'BRSO Articulate'?
  19. Cakewalk has built in Melodyne. Upgraded to Melodyne 5, how to make sure it the default converter in Cbb and not the older version?
  20. Thanks for the confirmation, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a simple OS solution. VLC Player will work. in Details it did show "768kbs" ~ thanks for the chart! I like RC menus, thanks for that, MediaInfo works great!
  21. Win 10 Users - How to find Audio Bit/Sample rate? without opening quicktime or Cbb, how to find the Bitdepth and sample rate of WAV audio?
  22. Don't want to menu hop, or PRV. What method would allow to make a Hotkey (Shortcut Key?) press button> Transpose +12 press button> Transpose - 12 Process> Transpose ...also I can see the little underscore but what key combo is used to access the "n"?
  23. I keep forgetting about "Send" to send audio, I've only ever used SENDS to Effects, things like delay or reverb. @Lynn and @David Baay ...so all my Synths currently go to a BUS, will a Record armed Track see a BUS as an input? I'm guessing BUSes don't work like the AUX, or else AUX would not be necessary.
  24. Duplicate BUS, What is the equivalent of this?
