  1. Somewhere along the way I remember a thread about correctly setting audio levels and -18db was a good setting for headroom. - 18 db was good enough so vst effects would not be oversaturated. In the image the meters show -18db but the Audio wave graphic shows - 39db when zoomed in. and it's gotta really be zoomed in before any sin waves are visible. The levels show -18 db but the audio graphic looks flatlined.
  2. Don't use the Search bar, instead use Word Search of the Index with browser CTRL + F The search was from inside Cakewalk 's > Help> Documentation then this browser window opens: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x184C5 and the image was the search result
  3. so while trying to find out what exactly "Save Copy As" is and why to use it searching the Cakewalk manual showed this result: Where exactly to search Cakewalk specific features without involving all of the internetwebs?
  4. useta be like this, but now it's like this Looking for Tutorials on: Project and Audio Stem Naming Conventions Also curious if anyone is using "Notes" section? Workflow Subjects such as Difference between Patch Points vs Bus when why to use them in a project. So many new features have been added, a Cakewalk Workflow Tutorial Series would be useful to show how a (perhaps) more efficient way of starting a project and using all the new features.
  5. There might be a sticky for this already? Without tutorials the Feature Overview animated GIF is really helpful. Where is the list or PDF of all the updates with the animated tutorials? I see the dedicated link for the newest version, but need to learn features from a few versions back. Thanks
  6. This also looks good and it already has a Dark theme, most do not and have been requested.
  7. Thanks for the list! per-tap controls is what interests me. making rhythmic patterns from the delay is so interesting!
  8. is there a way to slow the tempo of an entire project by 1/2 time or more? in Audio Transients, I need the audio and tempo metronome clicks to playback slower. Zplane Decoda does this where the audio is linked to the tempo. How is this done in Cbb with multiple audio tracks sync'ed with tempo, so Audio speeds up or slows down linked to the tempo?
  9. UVI Relayer anyone using this delay or know of one similar?
  10. at the rate Cbb is adding and fixing bugs, looks promising they will.
  11. @mgustavoChordastic! that's exactly what I was trying to describe. Thank you! I do think it would be nice to have this built in to Cbb.
  12. If not already, This should be a feature request!
  13. for anyone using PEEL in Cakewalk, this is from zplane support:
  14. Request: support audio plug-ins with multiple output channels. zPlane PEEL https://products.zplane.de
  15. ...I know it's not true, but after paying of Cakewalk/SONAR for so many years it doesn't feel Free. just want to say to the free users you're welcome. lol Also When Gibson made their crap move, I did not panic and jump ship to studio one, just like toilet paper people were loosing their minds. For me this is the best and most stable version. The MIDI and Articulation map updates are so cool! Can someone please explain how a company that makes an app free makes money?
  16. @John Vere One thing I've noticed with DIY is the lack of standards that leads to lack of quality. The same thing happened in printing with Clipart and and now with the mirical of tech, Grandma can print her own "Clip Art" greeting cards. lol @Noel Borthwick i don't know about risky, but i don't want to have to be connected to the internet just to use software. Marmoset Toolbag does that, but have a bad day with power out or storm etc. to bad for you, can't even learn the software unless it has preinstalled help. I don't like the assumption of being connected to the internet at all times is or has to be the way forward. At least a hybrid option, choice, something most humans are passionate about. And yea, Windows updates, app updates = failure with so many paid for softwares. example: A nice Sony camera, Black Magic AV USB 3.0 and win 10, literally had the same hardware working a few months ago and now OBS is just a black screen. The "updates" ruined what was once working. Forced Auto updates should be a crime. It's like they just stole the two hardware devices I paid for!
  17. windows 10 settings Is this a setting that will help in Cakewalk? Everything is working and I don't want to make changes without user supported feedback. I'm looking into it to see if it will for 3D apps. thanks!
  18. Anyone tried this or plan to? ...also another example of a company not listing Cakewalk by name.
  19. Why do so many new software / hardware companies (like ROLI) refuse to acknowledge Cakewalk as a pro DAW? Cakewalk has been around for so many years and IMO this is the best version. Fixes, new features and I actually make a suggestion and it's implemented! feels good man. The Forums have always been helpful, calling tech support in the past, not so much. Just curious if anyone feels the same, I might just be overlooking something.
  20. 1) any updates on which version PEEL works with the newest Cakewalk version? 2) how exactly to route PEEL in Cbb?
  21. Thank you! look forward to all text boxes (Markers, etc.) to look as good as the dark theme "Tempo track".
  22. @bdickens help or hinder, which will you choose? Perhaps in your god-like omniscience you've calculated every reason imaginable as to why someone would want to do it that way. ...to anyone else interested, Chord images and Chord names drag and drop solution would also be helpful.
  23. Can you show an example of LibreOffice would be used for this purpose? TuneSmith has a built in drag drop chord system and formatting that is almost good, but it's a bit clunky and dated looking and has other stuff I don't need. One thing TuneSmith does I learned is chord names can be put in brackets [Am] and it will show in the correct place above the word. Anyone know what this formatting is called? It seams like this could be done with HTML. T[Am]his is a song lyric wi[Emaj]th chord name placed above the w[G]ords Am Emaj G This is a song lyric with chord name placed above the words
  24. I was hoping Cbb could do this. looking for a simple non subscription app for PC that will create chords over text. F Am C Chords over lyrics are a common way to write chord chart
