Anyway, I do have the lot.

Same here Fleer but still a great deal for those that don't. I'm sure they gave DDLY away free at some point at least I don't recall paying for it.

Yeah, I know. It's just that Uncle E posted over at KVR that he doesn't really recommend RX7 Elements at $9 for this reason. The tension is high.

Interesting. To be honest I hardly ever need something like RX but I have to say it worked great for the specific use I had in mind and I reckon I have already had my 9 bucks worth. I was surprised that it even had a Spectral view for an entry level product. The voice de noise worked a treat.

Will still be interested in whatever Uncle E has to offer though 🤔 If it's cheap enough and significantly better than RX Elements then I'm in. :)

  3. Hey abacab and msmcleod, I had a CZ-101 in the 80s (my first synth) with mini keys. Wish I hadn't sold it now as it would probably be worth something.

I remember the manuals were excellent; it's a shame that they don't generally do in-depth printed manuals any more. I also seem to recall a detailed MIDI manual that came with it. 🤔

I have Arturia V6 Collection but CZ V only comes with the V7 Collection which is expensive for three extra synths so I am all over this Virtual CZ deal.

    Thanks for posting Larry!

its a nice, very versatile synth and this is a good update. Adding NKS compatability is good for us with NI keyboards and brings it in line with the V collection.

its also worth noting Pigments preset packs also work with the latest Analog Lab, which also includes a small selection of the factory presets.

    Thanks for the information Glyn.

While installing the Pigments demo I noticed that there were updates for AL4 and V6 Collection (CMI V).

  5. Thanks TS!

Seems like a good deal for Pigments. I own V6 Collection and my offer for Pigments is 69 Euros (around 61 GBP). Will demo it for sure.

I wonder if any 3rd parties will be offering this? I couldn't find any this cheap at the moment but maybe they have not had time to publish their sale prices.

Arturia are also offering the upgrade to V7 Collection and Pigments for 248 Euros (not interested at that price).

  6. Lol, you got me there Mesh! 😂🤣 👍🏻 Now I could really do that cake some damage 😋

You must have been the one heckling me in the crowd! Mind you, Satch Boogie was always a hard song to pull off on banjo.

I am hoping to sample those instruments and release a "One Man Band" Kontakt library later in the year.

AFAIK they've not updated this in a while.

I got an email from them a while back saying they weren't doing any more development on it for the foreseeable future. They weren't dropping it by any means, but wanted to concentrate on other products.

From what I can gather, they've been looking at making some of their existing products standard VST's rather than standalone Java apps. This is probably much more complicated for Liquid Notes, as it would be a far bigger codebase to convert from Java to C++, so they've put it on the back burner.

Thanks for the information Mark. I will definitely give it another try based on yours and other comments.

  8. I saw this thread and thought "Oh yup I remember that sale" but was sure I didn't buy it.  Anyway, I did buy it! I think it was 10 USD.

I have a folder in my "Audio Production" software archive with LiquidNotes installer and LiquidMusic? installer (don't know what the latter is).
I even have some usage notes copied from the old forum (user Mangulator?) and some how-to links.

I think I must have uninstalled it when I realised it operated outside of Sonar (or any DAW) rather than as a plugin.

Seems like it's time to investigate it further. 🤔

Does anyone know if the version they are selling now is newer than the last version I downloaded (1.5.3.4)?

  10. My Komplete 11 update to 12 went fine. I just added the serial to Native Access and all was good.

After connecting the hard drive Native Access detects it and displays a message saying it will use the hard drive for installation of Komplete. I don't have all of Komplete installed and I noticed that if you go to the "Not Installed" tab not all items have a "hard drive" icon (next to the size field) indicating that some will be downloaded rather than installed from the hard drive.  For example, the new Play Series modules have to be downloaded. I assume the hard drive contents will be based on whatever was available when it was created so YMMV.

The first thing I installed was Kontakt 6 which automatically imported all of the libraries that I had set up in Kontakt 5.  As far as I can tell K6 seems to co-exist with K5 just fine. I also tried the new Kontakt 6 only Play Series which are a nice addition. I will also install Session Strings 2 later (also not on hard drive).

Now it's just a waiting game for Massive X.

If you have MPS2 it's best to upgrade to MPS 2.1 for
$83.16 with code group which will get you Neutron 3 for less than buying the upgrade
    from 2 to 3, which I don't even see...there is from Neutron to 3
    https://www.jrrshop.com/izotope-music-production-suite-upgrade-mps

You are absolutely right Larry although I sold MPB2 a while back and also didn't upgrade to MPS.

As I mainly use O8A and N2A I thought I would just upgrade those but the difference now in upgrading to MPS 2.1 versus  N3A is only around 100 GBP (JRR works out cheapest).

Am I right in saying that, as I already have full versions of O8A and N2A, I could sell those on after upgrading to MPS 2.1 as this comes with new licenses for O8A and N3A anyway? There are quite a few other iZotope products in my account which I never use and could also be sold to effectively pay for the MPS 2.1 upgrade.  I also noticed here that MPS 2.1 comes with Melodyne Essentials so there's a small amount to recoup from resale of that.

Kudos to Izotope - this is a new way to get you to try their products.  I have Neutron  Advanced but haven't ponied up for other Izotope products. I've been curious about the Visual Mixer and the Tonal Balance Control - now if they'd just give TB away. ;)

Hey mibby, I find Tonal Balance Control so useful that it is now in my default template on the Master Bus.  I also tried it out retrospectively on a few old recordings and was able to greatly improve some mixes where it identified deficiencies that my ears couldn't.

Is there a music store where you can go and test it out? That way you can see/hear how it works.

Before even using an amp sim, it's easy to dial in a nice thick tone with the Axe....then add a sim and you're bound to get a smile on your face. :)

Good idea Mesh! If not I will have to suggest that my local store sets up a demo. 👍🏻
