  2. Among all DAW companies, Image Line is probably already in the best position financially* and in terms of total number of users.  So, I don't see this as a some sort of attempt to stay profitable.

Within the last year, they purchased Melda Productions and UVI, so they have money to spend and a number of income streams.  They also have purchased a few other smaller companies.

Take a look at their forums sometime.  The userbase there is very active there and whenever there is a beta version, they are flooded with helpful posts about issues from their users.

The lifetime free updates appears to be working just fine for them.

(*from a financial standpoint, Reaper is an outlier exception as the company is primarily one rich individual)

@satya Just had a look while installing fresh copy of FL Studio on a system with new SSD.

From inside FL STUDIO  it Looks like I get FL Studio Cloud ANNUAL for €19.99 ( vs the €49.99 ). Bit of a no brainer considering I dumped LoopCloud recently as the best they could do was €80 for the year

Mmmm thats interesting. If i click on CHOOSE THIS PLAN on right I get this:

Yeah, the same for me.  I suspect the annual with discount is 49.99 with a regular price of 79.99, unfortunately.  The ad looks like an error.

  4. He has been told numerous times, but he seems to refuse to understand:  Make a solid product and continue to improve on it and develop it before you announce some new project.

He seems to think that announcing new potential future projects ("pre-orders") is the way to get an influx of cash, but for most customers that only works once before you lose their business forever.  Particularly with a boatload of abandoned, half-working projects in the wake.

I dunno what is going on at NI HQ but Native Access V2 is turning into a bigger and bigger mess with every release -  running all kinds of buggy background services.

100% this.  It's astounding how far NI have fallen.  They can't even get this figured out.  What hope is there of them releasing another groundbreaking synth?

I only have one of their soundbanks, Retroscapes for CA2600. I must say, I wasn't impressed, but I was always wondering if it's because of the quality of the soundbank or that of the synth.

Might give them another try. Any recommendations for synthwave presets?

There are some great 80s/synthwave presets from Xenos for Diva, Spire, Hive, and Sylneth.

Old School Colors for Diva is particularly good (if you have Diva).

EDIT:  He has lots of good presets for the original Massive that would fit the bill.  I still love the "not X" version of Massive even with its small interface.

  7. Here are a few good deals using the coupon (at least in USD):

Tone 2 Nemesis or Rayblaster--both at $99--the coupon takes off $20 to give $79--that's a solid price for those

Uhe More Feedback Machine--$99--coupon makes it $79--U-he doesn't do many sales (and MFM has not been on sale)--it just got an awesome new update--the other Uhe synths have some decent prices too

Ujam Guitarist Bundle--on sale for $132--coupon makes it $112--No bad for getting all 5 UJam guitars

Martinic AX Bundle--on sale for $104--coupon makes it $84--You get the AX73 synth, all the preset expansion packs, and the AX Chorus

Cherry Audio Synths--many are already on sale, so you can build a bundle for $100 and get even more of a discount

AAS Multiphonics CV-2 Items--preset packs and the synths and upgrades are already half price--the coupons can bring 'em down even further.

If you need a cheap item to get past a particular total in order to use the coupon, Soundiron's Cyborg Bytes is $5.

There are tab sets at the top for product groups as well as installed and update pages. Has been that way for a while now.

Yes, I'm familiar with it. There has been a long running issue where it will list labs libraries as not installed when they are installed.  It makes it difficult to keep track of them.

The app works perfectly fine for their paid libraries and has for a while.
