    Thanks for listening and commenting.
Steve and JohnB, once I've put you to sleep the subliminal messages I've inserted will go to work. Do you feel it, that irresistible urge to send me money....

    NOPE ... 😴 ....

  2. C'MON GUY'S stop hijacking my inquiry ... I remind all that this platform is new to me, and I posted my thoughts to get my pears who are used to this OS, to assist NOT be abusive of those who don't use WIN10PRO .. So please .... rein it in !! THAT SAID

Thanks for the heads up on an SSD ..I have just fitted a WD SSD 1TB and cloned the master drive and wow it's fast, my files and projects are on HDD which in time I will move over to SSDs,  also got to grips with what's not and what is, needed (still learning here).

I can't thank you guy's enough for your help and views (if not a little acidic in places) ... I am left thinking I should and could have moved to this OS some time ago as it really is,,, ...really IS, a better OS (at least for me) ...So for those reading this, if your thinking you might move from 7 or 8 and are unsure give it a try ...I write as a dinosaur  who  loved  7pro ... but now it seems 10pro .....

John is correct in saying you can delete delete the bloat or lets say apps, so as not to offend, and then if your not sure just stick a post here for help ... worked for me 👍

This is the kind of music I need to fall asleep to.  Not saying it's boring.  It's relaxing.

    😀John B

Sorry ...but it is a little boring ...great sound over for a video of flowers growing in slow motion from a winter view through the seasons and back again .. (BTW it took me 2 hours to write this as I fell into a lazy sleaze and then deep sleep ... 😴 woke up to Bat doing his thing on Soundcloud  ... 😲)

All the best Bjorn (Just Jo-kin' wig-ya)

  4. Thankyou SO much my friend .. I have noted your comprehensive comments/feedback and I would have to say, having used Win10 every day since the install , It is a great improvement and I took a deep sigh when everything worked!

I am printing out your suggestions made here and will carry out a few mods.  I can't thank you enough for the help, must have taken you ages, so very much appreciated.

Steve, thanks for your time and comments.  I took advantage of the click track on this latest version.  I'm still having a blast!

You godda have fun .... but you know what Lynn?  If nothing else we have one thing in common ..to my ears anyway,  Somewhere in your voice is a bloke who really wants to sing HEAVY rock ... like an automatic car, one foot on the throttle and one on the brake ... waiting for the green light ! ( BTW Just listened to Black Dog on the tube ...great work ...was that the family pitching in ? N joyed it loads

    All the best

I don't know if this qualifies as bloat, but for me there was a bunch of start-up apps running that I currently have no use for, such as OneDrive, Edge, and just a bunch of stuff that didn't need to be running on my internet daw so I disabled them. You can search "Start up apps" and see what you want running at all times and what you don't.

Many thanksfor the heads up  CJ,  did that and it's so much better ..👍

  7. Just gone belly up and given in to  MS's aggressive move  to this OS .. Seems to be loads of bloat and startup takes longer than with 7pro . Felt I had to move to this OS eventually and I didn't want to move to MAC as I have a desktop in the studio and it's easy to swap out hardware that needs updating ... just asking if anyone has input to reduce the bloat ... there doesn't seem any speed reduction once it's up and running but it's new to me so any views may help. Plus I seem to have a blurry text  on some software (could be my old eyes) which I didn't notice B4 with W7 ...  I run Sonar Plat + Bandlab's version and Cubase Pro10 ...

    Thanks in advance for helping

  8. Neat and tight good song ... sounded like it was done on stage .... reminded me a bit of the Roundhouse years ago when I heard Godspell ...  (When no-one knew who David Essex was )

    Thanks for posting

Bit of a reggae feel right at the start.
Liked the extended couple of words ("don't you") the last two lines of each verse (I notice these things) which helps to zing in on the rich guy.
Really nice groove going on throughout the song. I like this a lot.
Ooooh, Tick Tock is a crocodile. I get it now.

    Bjorn!!!!

I'm over the moon with your last remark, I believe  everyone who listened to this let that one go over their head thinking it was just rhyme. Both my wife and I had  bet no-one would get the reference as it was so vague ! Thankyou for your comment, it means a great deal as I have so much respect for your work.

    Best wishes

i still think it can me tuned quite a bit more...  but I think I am nearly there.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions on mix and arrangements ideas.  Hope you can see I have listened and put them to good use.

i dig that you are looking to help me improve the mix,

and i'm looking for some 'warmth' that i missed on some of the tracks...

i HAVE found some freqs on certain parts, that i can add some richness into, without adding mud.

sometimes the choices of thinner tracks is in the overall clarity of a track,

but it's good to get different perspectives all the same.

I'm glad you get what I said and wasn't offended, I really couldn't do the work you do ... the song is great the way it is but if you discovered a warmer feeling from the mix and feel it could benefit by adjusting some frequencies ( without mud ... and that's hard  ) I'd love to hear a remix. I remind you it seems to be only me that feels a little work is still required so .....

    Best wishes Bat

  12. Wow! ... really tight, vocal spot on and mix right up there ...it's like a 'Stones' recording but so much better ...got a real easy groove ..love it!

    hey steve!

    thanks for listening

eq thin? hm, not sure how/where to correct that, or even what freqs to look at.

now, the guitars , especially during the first part, use a 'thin' tone to start with, without a lot of drive,

    that is by choice...

maybe eq'ing the vox could thicken things a bit?

here's the curve of the song:

    song curve

OK Bat, first off I'm finding it hard to explain what I'm hearing / or not hearing, cause this bit off work is so fukn good it keeps putting me off my Tech head, the whole song is exiting and takes me back to the old days of cider and smoke, shut my eyes click of the heals ...I'm there.

I see from the EQ it seems to be addressing the bit where I would have thought there might be something missing .. but no, so I'm unsure how any of my tech comments could help, but .. It's kinda like getting a CD of an LP you had and hearing how clean the CD is, sort of, not feeling the warmth ....

Godda remember though I ain't a pro and just a tad unworthy ... the songs you do are second only to some of the stuff James here does ... I'm off to drink my head clear now cause I know that's no help ...maybe take another listen ...or two⁉️🔮

    Steve

  17. Hi Bat

All good here in the SW ... however the eq leaves the mix a little thin ...kinda clinical if you get my point ... Bass not a prob IMO
