Welcome! The other guys have given you some great links. I would just add that the basics of CW are really easy, and you can be recording in 15 minutes, but CW is also an amazingly power DAW that will do incredible things with audio. Good luck with your music!

Like you, I really like the sound of AD, but I'm getting to where I use it less because it's starting to feel a bit like abandonware, although I think they added VST3 support recently, so that's a step forward. If they'd show it just a little more love I'd feel a lot better about it.
