$29.99 for Microsoft Office?! No thanks.
I think I'll pass on the "Rolex" too.
But it's authentic, I promise!

FWIW the magazine is 6.99 Euros which is about $7.73 USD. The NoiseAsh NEED 73 Console EQ is $49 US, which makes this a darn good deal.

does Waves know NAM exists? $29 is significantly more pricey than compared with completely free.
That's a great line and made me laugh out loud. I'm deeply tempted to forward it on to Waves.
Also, if you like NAM give guitarML a look. It's free and uses the same technology. https://guitarml.com/

I've been comparing this one recently to Efimov's older Nylon at $99, or $149 with a strummer. https://www.ilyaefimov.com/products/acoustic-guitars/nylon-complete.html
Or a newer one by Sketch, which is $49. https://sketchsamples.com/product/sketch-nylon/
Any opinions?
Renaxxance Nylon String Guitar by Indiginus is worth a look as well. $59. https://www.indiginus.com/renaxxance-nylon-string-guitar

I'm way to skeptical to update Waves Central right now as it created a severe problem for me on one machine already!
Me too. Plus, after the recent fiasco I'm working hard to transition away from them permanently.

What I love about it is that it's just so darn easy. Lots of drop and drag. You want to add a VSTi, then just drop and drag it. You want to add an FX buss? Then just drop an effect in an empty space in the mix view. It's all very easy-peasy. With all of your experience on Cakewalk I think you would be up and running in no time. As a huge plus there are tons of great tuts on youtube. Another plus is that there is 30 day demo so if you decide to try it you'll have plenty of time to get used to it.

All we know for certain is that these were addressed:
- Minor bug fixes
- General reliability improvements
🤣
Well, that really clarified things. Thanks, IK!

That was genius! Somebody needs to send a copy to Waves.

For the last year I've been dipping a toe into Blender. Holy moly is that ever a complex program, but also astonishing considering it's free.

I will continue to wean myself off Waves irrespective of this announcement.
Me too. I'm out never to return. "Fool me once . . ."
I got an email this morning from Kazrog with this subject line: :Final hours: "perpetually" yours forever 😏"
You gotta love it.

I would hate to work in customer service at Waves right now.
You would learn just how many F-bombs one email/phone call could contain!

Get DSM instead.
DSM is a really good tool to have in the arsenal. It's well worth a test drive.

This one is a bit pricey ($60), but worth a look. It has some rhythms to get you started, and you can program your own.

I like playing around with this plugin. Most of the mics I have aren't on the list (and I wish they'd add more) but I find it interesting as an effect by choosing random-ish mics and switching out the sound. If I didn't have it in T-RackS Max, I'd buy it at this price.
That's my experience and I rarely use it (I have Slate and AA's lava which I use more); but for a ten spot it's worth it. I'd definitely give the demo a spin.

Thanks, thats a fantastic price. For anybody on the fence here are a couple of great demos by Chandler who often posts on this forum.

Excellent review, Zo. I really liked the Q&A because it was good to see who is actually behind the software.

i.e. How to make the most money for the shareholders and bollocks to the workers.
So true. My wife's father started a manufacturing company in the late '50's. In the 70's when corporations started making their employees part time so that they wouldn't have to pay insurance and pensions her dad refused to do it because he felt like he had made a promise to his employees to take care of them. During the Great Recession of 2008 when companies either fired or laid off people her dad refused to do it and kept all this people on full time. He said he did because they were the ones who made the business what it was. He lost money during those years, but he said taking care of this employees was the right thing to do. He was remarkable guy who didn't think only about the bottom line. The people who worked for him loved him and would have taken a bullet for him. I wish more businesses would think like he did.
