I would consider the upgrade from SE for that price.
Looks like the SE version is still not for sale for everyone like it used to be when Tonex was released.

Can probably use it to get the upgrade cheap when PB put it on sale.
I'm guessing you can't get their upgrade if it's not originally purchased from PB.

No alerts here. I'm guessing it's getting flagged because of its name.

If you're annoyed that there's no picture of the soundbank, you can add a photo to any soundbank here:
Windows:
C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Shared\images\vc8_images\packs
Mac: (probably)
Mac HD/Library/Arturia/Shared/images/vc8_images/packs/

I think you're getting yourself confused.
This thread was about the fact that Spitfire Audio has added the piano to the BBC SO. Before this update there wasn't a piano. Now there is. That's all.
If you own the BBC SO Pro, why would you want to buy the piano separately? Just update your Pro version using the Spitfire app.
And in all honesty, the piano is not that great. I've got 2 go-to pianos that I always use, and I cannot see BBC SO piano replacing either of them.
Save your money for something else.
Only the Discover version of the piano is free. You have to pay to get the other 2 versions.
You must've tried out the free version, it's horrible. The other versions seem great although they don't have a lot of velocity layers.

I assume you mean the program installers (specifically the old AT, TR5, etc. installers) as opposed to any Sound Content installers--unless people don't mind paying extra to re-download the sound content installers when needed.
Of course. I had 50-100 GB of old versions when cleaned up the folder a while ago.

Again, remember to check the IKM Downloads folder and delete the old installers that aren't needed. They take a lot of space.

There are Pro and Core (and apparently Discover) versions of the piano. 30% off for BBCSO customers. I don't see any intro prices for everyone.

Free Home is the culmination of a remarkable collaboration between our dedicated community and our tireless team. Building upon the ideas of Free ASMR, Free Angels, and Free Radicals, which were all crafted in partnership with our incredible community, Free Home is a new chapter of collaborative sound. The concept behind Free Home was to create an instrument using sounds recorded within our own homes, so we invited our community members to capture or design five or more sounds, whether percussive, melodic, or atonal, resulting in an inspiring collection.
We were so grateful to receive hundreds of samples from our community - Household items, water drops, microwave beeps, wind chimes, glockenspiels, bottles, voices, and so much more - representing inspiration and passion from all walks of life. Harnessing these invaluable contributions, we edited, programmed, and designed an extensive assortment of soothing, intricate, and enjoyable instruments. Free Home encompasses Ambience, Sound Design, Custom Instruments, Noises, Percussion, and more, with plenty of all-new programs to stretch these samples beyond their limits.
Creating this library has been an absolute delight, and we sincerely hope that you will feel the joy as well. Completely free, from all of our homes to yours.39 Programs / 21 Parts

They've had more proper sales in the last year or two. 50% off sales are not uncommon these days.

Still no update on how HOGGY that interface is? I installed it a year ago, and many of the instruments I couldn't use because it was hogging my CPU nearly 100% of the time!
I haven't noticed anything like that. Reaper's Performance Meter shows low CPU usage for me. Have you checked the Preferences in Opus?

Not buying that whole UDS thing.
Yeah, if you played a song using the UDS edition and the same song using the standard edition to 1000 people, how many could tell the difference?

Right. The reason for "Player" libraries being so much more is that they have to pay a fee to NI to make it Player Compatible.
There are a lot of licensed freebies for Kontakt 7 now, so I'm guessing the RA doesn't have to pay a lot for Kontakt 7 only licenses.
