SSD5.5 is a lot easier to use then previous versions. Sounds better, too. Kits load very fast, no complicated MIDI (re-)mapping required if you want to enhance a kit piece by adding another one on top if it. The plugin keeps the last loaded kit/kitpiece highlighted should you need to re-open the GUI. Grooves are now nicely organized by song parts and other attributes. And the icing on the cake is the 'Mono to Mono, Stereo to Stereo' routing preset, which is a godsend if you like to process kit pieces individually. Like it so far.

I loved the free version and loved the GUI, drum sampler section, and how easy it was for me to figure what custom sample I loaded was mapped to what midi key even if I were using the virtual keyboard in Cakewalk and just my computer keyboard. I bought the full version when it went on sale and love it! The Grooves section is cool! :)

  3. I just wanted to share some news that I couldn't keep to myself, lol

If you refer a friend or use a refer link to buy stuff there you can get coupons of 10%, each time someone buys something and the coupons do stack! I don't know how I did it, but in July I somehow managed to collect 24 10% coupons! They kept sending me coupons vial email. I waited until end of July when I got paid to cash in all the coupons and take advantage of the Summer of Sound Design deal they had. I got a few items from there and some from the store section of the site. I even got the newest deal at the time (which is still going on now), the guitar amp VST. So in total it was 12 items!

Audio Vitamins has released the source code for the previously closed-source commercial offering Stochas under the GPL license.

Stochas is a step sequencer that has a unique randomization and humanization engine. It empowers the user to create constantly evolving melodies and drum patterns via the programming of random and semi-random sequences.

"The original idea sprang from a JSFX plugin (Reaper plugin) created by Andrew called Stochasticizer which allowed semi-random sequencing of melodic and drum lines. Andrew was contacted by Dave who suggested creating a plugin that would work on any DAW. The two worked together to design the product which was released a few months later.

Due to lack of time to devote to marketing a commercial product, in 2020, it was decided to release the software as open-source in the hope that it would be useful to music producers around the world."

Stochas is now available as a free download for Windows and Mac (VST/AU). The source is available in a GitHub repository.

    More information: Stochas

    Looks very interesting:

Yeah I'm tempted to get Neutron 3 Advanced for $134 or whatever at AudioDeluxe, but last time I recently got Nectar 3 full for $87 and thought that was a good deal but then a week or so after that I saw a deal for it for $49 in some bundle. Does izotope have even better deals on Neutron than this during the holidays?

I got Nectar 3 full for $49 crossgrade from VocalSynth 2. I didn't have VocalSynth2 but still wanted a Vocoder and Melodyne, so I bought this and VocalSynth2 on sale for $49 at PB. $100 for all 3 was a no-brainer, lol!

ProAudioStar had Neutron 3 Advanced upgrade from Standard for $99 a few weeks ago. But I just checked today and it looks like their entire stock of iZotope products got removed and now they only have 3 products there and are only the Exponential Audio ones. Maybe iZotope found out about them not updating their sales, I don't know. But it's weird how they went from having over a hundred to 3 products. I got Ozone 9 and Neutron 3 Standard upgrades for $99 each from the same site. Also RX 7 Elements just became free with purchase just a few weeks after it was reduced to $29 at PB. I would not be surprised if there are other sales during the holidays.

  6. I bought it really cheap with the VSTBuzz coupons I had collected. It's a really cool plugin! Keep in mind this is a granular effect plugin. Most granular plugins are sample based (standalone or part of synthesizer), and if it is an effect it is usually a small part of a bundle of effects and not as feature rich. So this is cool and unique in it's own right, especially because of all the features you get in this dedicated granular effects plugin. Also cool presets and lets you make it as musical or distorted as you like. :)

  7. I paid $45 for all three, lol! Player for $5 and SM2 for $40 at PB and got lucky when the SM site was changing prices for sale and somehow got SM1 for free! ;D

Okay, I'm going to have to stop recommending plug-ins to you, other than Meldaproduction stuff, you seem to have everything else.😂

If you record audio with multiple mics, MAutoalign is a must, regularly discounted for $25.

Yeah, I may look into the Melda plugins.

  10. [“Loom II” is a major upgrade to the original, pushing the boundaries of additive synthesis. Loom II is ideal for all skill levels. Whether you’re starting out and just experimenting in this space or you’re a bonafide expert, the instrument grows with you.

The original Loom was considered a triumph of its time when it was launched. Now, Loom II builds on this with unique and powerful new features as requested by loyal users! Create anything from wobbles, ethereal pads, ambient soundscapes and much more!]

VSTBuzz still has this offer on sale. In case you didn't know and didn't look up it's store 😛

    Buy it now for €27!

You are a smart shopper! Breaktweaker is one of my favorite toys, I got it when iZotope put a whole bunch of stuff on sale for $8.88 to celebrate PB's 8th birthday.

Now that you've plundered iZotope's offerings, you can let @cclarry guide you through the ways of getting ginormous IKMultimedia packages for fractions of list. They are a good source of the "character" FX I referred to, and Sampletank is my favorite of its category.

I got Sampletank 4 SE and Miroslav Philharmonik 2 CE both on sale for $39 and free AmpliTube Metal and T-RackS 5 ONE 🤪

Neutron, probably. I'm a broke, frugal guy, so I only have the Elements versions. That's awesome that you have the Exponential Reverbs, who the heck has been advising you? It's like you've skipped 5 years of trial and error on FX acquisition. 🤣

But  you have all these tools, so start using them and then you can  educate me!

LOL! Just by being obsessive and researching online deals and reviews. I only got Nimbus because it was on sale for like $29 for an upgrade from Excalibur which I got for $9. Also I got Nectar 3 and VocalSynth 2 both together for only a $100  when it was on sale for $50 crossgrade from VocalSynth and that was $49 heh. I also got the elements suite for $47 that came with also trash 2, Iris 2, and Breaktweaker. Rx7 standard I got for like $69 when you consider the standard upgrade was on sale and I had some Pluginboutique  virtual cash to discount $30 lol. Neutron and Ozone upgrades where on sale for $99 each as well! So I am not rich, I just got lucky with sales overtime and reading and watching tons of reviews! 😛
