Yeah.. i don't know if the other EZbasses (rock and fretless) are better basses. Hard to know unless you try. RE; Steinberg.. yeah.. i saw that one. Its a Halion bass, right? I am waiting (hoping!?) for Absolute to go on sale.. and then pick it up. (If money allows.)

yeah.. but the thing is, once you lose the fancy toontrack articulations, it just sounds like a guy playing bass on a midi contoller. 😞

right on.. now digging into the American EQ emulations.. 🙂 if this hits > 20 I am gonna be out of things to get. I will have to get an ARC3 and buy a MEMS mic.. I havent gotten into that can of worms yet because a well calibrated room is the least of my problems in life.

I agree. the included basses not that good. i copy the MIDI to another track. But then, you lose all the fancy toontrack articulations. 😐

anyone have any opinions on their stuff? which sort of plugins do they excel at?

yup. agreed. They are all still good and you can wiggle great sounds from them. But I am starting to come understand what all the big discussions are now around hidpi and resizable GUIs and their importance in a modern-ish DAW music setup where you are sitting and your face is maybe about 3 or 4 feet away from the monitor. I would not spend money on anything that does not have a decent resizable GUI anymore.

i am collecting the t-racks in this GB and testing and playing around with them. the best ones I have found so far are Bus Compressor, EQ-81, White Channel.

oh well. 17 is fine for me. the biggies i wanted i got. now am just collecting the quad series. i saw this thing one online this guy was doing to fix up live recordings by squashing frequencies by band range with the quad comp and limiter which looked really cool. want to try it on some live recordings i have.

I have no idea. But from little I know about IT and the fact that I don't think I have ever seen any profile of a developer who works for IKM (I have seen who works for U-He, Arturia, Softube e.t.c). my guess is IKM outsource all their development to countries that have relatively cheap labor to keep costs low So perhaps Eastern Europe or even India or China.. The other thing is these products in the GB, (most of them ) are quite old. I was looking closely at MODO Bass and was surprised to find out it was released in 2016. Not that it's a bad thing. Just surprised. Why ? What are you planning to do? Get into the music software sales industry.
