  1. I don't have the plug-in but it appears to support multiple outputs. At least, that is what it looks like from this image

Try changing the drop downs in the plug-in UI to send the tracks to different outputs and add audio tracks for them in the project.

Once the track assignments are made, freezing will create audio clips although it is not necessary.

FWIW, it is possible to create all the audio/instruments tracks for synths with multiple outputs when adding the synth but the tracks may be added at any time.

Doesn't look like anybody answered the initial question? I can't get my virtual instruments to record either? I can hear the drum, but when I record, it does not record?

I've got it set up just like the "Creative Sauce" you tube channel says to do and I can't get it to record at all...?

Is this a permutation of this thread?

Have you measured the latency using Chrome/ASIO?

    No

I played around with BandLab but have no real use for it. CbB works for my needs.

I believe it is deeply architectural as the browser is limited to using MME

Chrome can use ASIO, this one reason BandLab initially required Chrome to run the DAW.

Still ASIO does nothing for network performance.

    Re: Marker Lock

I lock a marker. I see the Marker Lock Indicator in the Markers view. What are the expected consequences of this? I can still move the marker in the Track View timeline, even though the marker is "locked". Is this a bug?

No, it does not prevent the marker from being manually moved. it changes the marker from using M:B:T to SMPTE time.

The arranger track? Though it looks very powerful and well thought out, I currently don't feel it's something I wish to use. I feel that at the moment, I prefer the clarity of my project is what I expect it to be. Using the Arranger makes this not necessarily so. I don't want to add to my aging confusion. It's simple enough for me to create alternate song versions for different arrangement ideas if and when I might find that necessary. Fortunately for me this is not often the case.

There is another way to use the arranger, as a collection of non-overlapping informational markers.

Tracks may ignore arranger sections by setting the Arranger Exclude option in the track properties inspector.

If all tracks are excluded, the arranger sections are just colored markers that can serve as navigation aids that contain readable text about the section.

I wonder if a separate "marker track" is in CbB's future.

So along these lines, I ask for a"small" adjustment to this new feature. I would like to be able to remove it from the track view. It currently forces my available screen real estate a tiny bit less horizontally which is very often a challenge...

There is an option to toggle the Arranger track it in the Track View View menu. It is bound to keyboard shortcut "A"

  8. Are you changing the instrument in TTS-1 UI? If not give it a try. If there is only one track going to TTS-1 there is no need for track channel, bank or patch assignments. If there are multiple tracks going to an instance of TTS-1 all the tracks or MIDI clips need are channel assignments.

I don't know what else to try at this point. Maybe remove and re-install TTS-1? I have a lot of tweaks set in that synth so far, so I'd really like to avoid removing it, if at all possible. What about installing a second copy of TTS-1 and transferring all the tracks over? Hrm, that should work, but would it do any good?

A rabbit hole I would not go down

  9. To switch ASIO drivers

    • Deselect all inputs and outputs in Audio preferences
    • Then select the I/O driver to use

ASIO permits only one driver to be used at a time

It might be a good idea to uninstall ASIO4All if possible. It has been know to cause problems when a factory driver is installed.

There should be only one ASIO driver per-device installed on the PC. Having ASIO4All installed makes it appear there are multiple ASIO drivers for all devices that have a manufacturer supplied ASIO driver.

  10. The only difference between

recording a 2 channel track and splitting it into 2 mono tracks

    and

    recording 2 mono track

    is

the additional step of splitting the 2 channel track

I maintain the best approach is the one that takes the fewest steps. This is why I wrote

if mono processing is the goal, recording the two channels on separate tracks is best. Should the need arise to process the two tracks together route them to an aux track or bus.

I'd like to be able to  export the Event  List into Excel, for example,  and  use it to do a range of things, for example filter to get a list of all the keyswitch notes.

One way to do this today is -

    • save the project as a MIDI file,
    • create a csv file using MIDICSV from the MIDI file
    • load the csv file into a spreadsheet program
