  1. Been testing the trial version for a week. Itā€™s interesting for some plug and play action and it sounds great. For me itā€™s of little use but I know some guitar players whoā€™ll love this plug.Ā

agreed!Ā i remember beingĀ impressed withĀ theĀ demo (years ago),Ā Ā butĀ it was a significant load on the dsp.Ā

    is that still the case?Ā

Yeah, itā€™s not that much gentler on the resources, if at all, since I first got it as far as I can see. But I have a Twin quad and an Octo satellite plus a powerful computer. I never hit the ceiling on my system because of this one. However, I use this a lot on as an insert when recording so the effect is printed on the audio, and maybe on a bus or threeĀ when mixing mostly. Wouldnā€™t be without it, though.

perhaps a little self intervention is in order toĀ quit buying $15 plugins that -might- get used and apply a couple of rounds to make up the diff forĀ the OG version. It's nice to have options, but perhapsĀ better to be well versed inĀ fewer but best-in-class versions.Ā

I did that and regret nothing.

And that Distressor is great! It is one of my favorite go to weapons for awesomeness.Ā

  4. Glad to hear youā€™re getting some results, Larry šŸ‘

I havenā€™t used it enough yet as I just got Cubase and Iā€™m still finishing up stuff in Logic. But seems like thereā€™s no difference here in performance. Iā€™m on an Intel Mac, however. I assisted on some mixing in a friends studio the other day, who is a long time user, and he is also very happy with 12Ā on a PC. Uses MIDI remote and all kinds of stuff in it

  5. Been working in 12 all night. Only Found a few GUI glitches (on a Mac), but other than that itā€™s been rock solid and new features are gold. I really like it! I think I will abandon Logic as soon as Iā€™m done with all my projects in it.

For those of you who struggle to get the upgrade, itā€™ll be worth the wait. I promise! I hope you get it sorted out very soon, thoughšŸ‘

BTW: I just got my license in November as a competitive cross grade, so new to Cubase sort of. Iā€™ve been working with dialogue to video (dubbing/versioning/VO/animatics)Ā for years and years in Nuendo at a high end studio and never done music in it before. Gotta say, wish Iā€™d jumped on the Cubase wagon a long time ago.Ā

The compressor is analog, not DSP.Ā  Excerpt from the Sweetwater review:Ā  "The Volt 76 models include built-in FET compression modeled after the UREI 1176. Best of all, these are real-world analog compressors, not a digital emulation."

    Wow, thatā€™s actually quite interesting

Actually there smust be a dsp but not usable via plugin since there s built in compressor 76 and a drive so it must be like their pedals , digital algo , dsp calculation...

Of course. Sorry, I meant for hosting UAD plug-ins šŸ˜Ž

  8. Oh man, whoā€™d thunk a desk bell could be like this! I love the real deal and thatā€™s why I get kicked out of hotel lobbies, but they took it to the next level with this onešŸ˜… dunno if Iā€™ll ever find much use for it, but Iā€™ve just spent to of the loveliest hours Iā€™ve had so far this October with it now!

What are they trying to fix by making it center aligned? More OS X like?Ā

Pretty sure to reduce long mouse travels when you open the start menu on a 49ā€ widescreen monitor šŸ˜‰

Haha! Either Iā€™m going blind or that didnā€™t show up when I checked the offer when it launched a few weeks backšŸ˜šŸ˜ anyways, thanksšŸ‘
