    🤣

Your post got me thinking about the baby pictures Conan O Brian used to have on his show with all his fictitious celebrity couples ..

Thanks for the kind word on my playing .....means a lot too me

This DAW offers a tremendous amount of Bang for the Buck ...I just wish they would offer the ability to preview midi files from the browser ...

There are two things about Mixcraft that really turned me off when I last looked at it.  One was having the transport in the middle of the screen where it will get obscured whenever you view a plugin (it sounds like that might not be an issue any more).  The other was the lack of MIDI file preview.

Yes ,  now you can dock and undock  things around  to your  taste .

As far as the lack of midi preview goes I raised this issue with Acoustica in a thread at the old forum in 2017

    Here's  the answer I got http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3696612

BTW a lot of useful stuff was posted by all of us in that thread before I got PO ed a them ...the thread itself is a gold mine

Since you have Platinum - Session Drummer can play individual samples dropped on each drum pad or build sfz files to play multiple samples per pad.

I love Session Drummer for its ability to play and create my own drum-sets from samples 😊Session Drummer is so underrated when it comes to that ...

Ultra Beat Samples  sound Great when played in Session Drummer .

For those that don't have a version of Session Drummer (which was bundled with quite a few releases of SONAR), Sitala is pretty good too. Looks like an updated beta was recently released.

I agree with you , Sitala , is also very good ...the newest updated version brings a lot more to the table ... overall it is a very good one in its own right and I use it a lot over here ..a couple of things in that Sitala video were new to me ..I had no idea the EQ worded the way it did for each pad ..

That was impressive - you can certainly play lead guitar quite well.  The mix sounded quite nice to my ears - I liked the tone on the lead guitar - what are you using there?

Overall - a well done jam - cheers.

    Hi Douglas ,

Thank you for the kind words you have said .I appreciate hearing them 😊

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for your ears and your appraisal.   Are you playing live anywhere around town?

    Hi David ,

    Your welcome  😊

Thanks for asking if I'm playing around town ...I did up until a few years ago ..mostly in SW Washington area ...

Honestly I don't know the Portland area very well and I wouldn't even know where to start to get back out there ...any of the offers I have gotten were ridiculous

Spend 2 weeks to learn 45 songs to play a one time only gig 2 hours away for 75 bucks ...Yeah right 🤣

If you have any suggestions or feedback on something I may be able to do to get out there in our area

I would love to hear what you have to say ..A PM would work good

    all the best,

    Kenny

  6. This upgrade turns out to be one  I am happy with .

I like the new mixer for sure ...

IMHO it looks better and it also has the added flexibility of having a reverb , a compressor and the drive baked into the interface.

FWIW , Darker equals less cartoon looking and that works better for me ...

I already had Voltage Modular Core which I happen to enjoy learning .  I'm happy they included a version of Voltage for people as an add on ...

I can say The  Voltage sounds I have found so far sound a lot better than a good deal of  synths I had picked up and purchased along the way in my synth Journey .. As a Guitar player this is A tough one to learn correctly ...a keyboard play will probably take to it like a duck to water .

Also some of the new plugs sound pretty good ...

This DAW offers a tremendous amount of Bang for the Buck ...I just wish they would offer the ability to preview midi files from the browser ...

wow Kenny - great stuff mate.  You must have had fun playing this

    Hi Daryl ,

I had a tremendous amount of fun while playing the guitar on this song ...Playing the guitar like that for me is a coping mechanism  for keeping my sanity

My life struggles can feel overwhelming  and predictable  so when I play a tune like this I'm trying to punch my way out of a paper bag so I can feel good again  🤣

Oh BTW, sorry to take so long getting back here ...when I cant listen to other peoples songs and participate in the songs forum on a regular basis   I feel guilty if I only comment on my tunes w out giving other peoples  tunes a listen ...so having done a little of that tonight I guess it's OK for me to comer back here even if I'm late to say thank you to you for your comment ...

    all the best ,

  8. HI Wookiee ,

silly me ...I had commented on your song  on SC when you first posted it and I forgot to post here ...

I'm listening to the tune right now ..I'm digging your sounds ...Yes this song has a lot of nice musical complexity and sonic texture s that are very pleasing to my ears ..

I like how you arranged this song where its taking on a story telling role as each musical motif and section has it's say  towards  telling the  story as the song unfolds .

This one is one of my faves when it comes to Wookiee music ,

    all the best ,

  9. David ,  I see you are getting pretty complex with your instrumentation with more use of the orchestra  in your song postings ..

I enjoyed your version of the song ...yeah  ,  you have been coming along    much  deeper in your music as time progresses  ( or so it seems to me )

all the best....keep it up ,

Guitar sounds very good and true to the musical Genre of your song version ...Yeah I can go for more music like this .

  12. I'll say one thing Jesse you are definitely a one of your own  kind  around here & you do have an interesting Unique Orbit Musically ...

That song was pretty Freaky in a good way ...lots of cool sounds crossing paths ..

    Keep doing what your doing

    Kenny

  13. Yes , that was a pretty fun listen ..

I notice you are using an Iconic Boomer song from my day to get the message across 🤣

There is room for improvement but either way I happen to like music with humor so I was glad I listened to this ..

    Clever stuff .....Good job

At what age did you start playing?

    Hi Bjorn ,

I started playing the guitar when I was 6 ...by age 9 I was serious ...back then in truth the guitar was my lifeline to having something in my life that made sense...

Part of my practice routine is improvising to your Tales of an Almost Forgotten Yesterday. So far I have nothing to write home about, but there is a melody developing.

I'm glad you are getting some mileage out of the song ...what I do for myself is to play over different sections of a song  and practice my ideas over it ..it is rare that I will play over a tune from beginning to end until I have done my little practice sessions over the various song sections.

I hope you come up with a good melody .

I just want to be competent.

    Yeah me too ...lol

I have to laugh ...you have no idea how bad i can sound when I'm off ....I'm not Superman ...lol I think the whole key for me  is to enjoy the gift of having music in my life ...

Maybe you know someone in your area that plays guitar at around or a little bit better than you do now ...some of the best times I've ever had were in low key situations where myself and another guitarist or two would hang out . We would  just swap guitars for a song or two and show each other some of what we are working on ...low pressure fellowship type of vibe ...

Chubby Checker? That's cool as all get out. You must have been really good, even back then.

    Thanks for commenting.

it has been an interesting ride would be an understatement ....there's  a few musical Artists I have auditioned for that were name people ( where I didn't get the gig )

Then there were a few notable gigs and situations  I did get   ( my lips are sealed for now )

it was all nice at the time ...the  fact is I have not achieved any of my career goals on the level I could have ....(at least according to my abilities and potential )

I'm actually somewhat sad about the fact that  my music will probably not be heard or valued in today's market.

Unless i can get help doing the things I am clueless about that may be the sad truth for me ...as I said before music was and is my life line so at least   I have had a constructive relationship with music ...it has kept me out of trouble and gave me something to strive for ...

I hope I didn't eat up too much of your thread ....and the offer stands ..someday on a nicer day ...lets meet up away from the studios are hangout and chat  music ..

    all the best,

    Hi Old Joad ,

After listening to music all my life then out of the blue,  all the music I wanted to play when I was younger sneaks up me  and influences the music I'm playing today .

cool beans huh ?  thanks for the listen .

A very pleasant laid back song. Just meandering here and there. Nice guitar playing..

    Hello congalocke ,

While I'm playing I'm basically just winging   it  ,  whatever  I end up playing turns out to be a process  of discovery even for me .

I'm glad you enjoyed the song and my guitar playing .
