the main problem is PRV notes' quality of getting almost transparent when not in focus
I thought there was a way to adjust the saturation level for non-focused tracks in the PRV, but if so, I sure can't find it.

I believe the freeze feature will always freeze the entire track, with the intention to unload the soft synth and free up some CPU / Latency.
I think that's accurate. But it sounds like you just want to bounce a section, not freeze the entire track?
You can bounce a section/region of a soft synth, but that requires a split instrument track so that you can record the soft synth's audio track while playing back that section (in real time). Or, you can route a single instrument to an Aux track, then record the Aux track while playing back that section.

Re-skinned VST versions of the sonitus fx suite would be yummy as well. There's still Cakewalk IP that BandLab paid for that is (so far) going unused.
There's some plans in the works for some of this, obviously I can't give any details at this time.
Interesting...

Huh... last month I opened a few old *.wrk files in CbB. Talk about forward compatibility! 🙂

If it's a plain MIDI track simply point its output to the virtual instrument (it should be in the list).

I'd check track lanes to be sure there isn't something in there that's not visible at the parent track level.

Reactivation may also be perform without having the DAW connected to the internet as long an there is another machine with internet access, see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.040.html (this does require BA)
This link seems to work.

So, obviously you love Kansas, right? Great tune!
Why yes, yes I do. Big fan from way back and Kerry Livgren was always an influence. Thanks!!

Try trimming the (copied) clip before looping it.

Hmmm... kinda sounds like acoustic jazz techno to me. 😉 That was just... cool. Layers coming in and out but never busy. Ya got something here.

Crazy good prog. I'd boost the vocal just a hair, especially that "response" vocal part. Wow those piano runs at the end were killer! Video works a treat. Kudos to the bass player or programmer for keeping up with all of those changes - love it!
The typical knock is that prog can get tedious but yours never, ever does. Really well done!
cheers,
-Tom
Thanks, Tom! Yep, overall vocals bumped up a bit and the response vocals up a bit more too. The piano runs were just having fun, though that fun did need a little clean-up here and there. And the bassist says... thanks! Fortunately I knew the changes so could keep up. I may not be a "real" bassist but I'm still heavily influenced by Chris Squire none the less.
Appreciate it. I often have a somewhat short attention span with my own songs so like to constantly mix it up.

OK, that was really enjoyable. Funky, futuristic, retro, cyber - yeah, it's all there. Y'all got a great sense of humour and it comes through in both sound and video. You could almost say it's in your DNA... 🙃

FWIW, I've used Sennheiser HD280 for years, but they're falling apart so bought these Status 'phones during that last sale. Personally (isn't it always?) I found them to be a very suitable replacement at a great price. And they're comfortable, with a detachable straight cable that I find more convenient.

I don't visit here much, but for whatever reason felt the need... thanks for posting Bapu, and RIP Bill of the Bayou. Long time poster and great sense of humor.

OMG! This must have been a lot of work to put together. Great playing, that's a lot of notes.
Thanks, Kurt! Yes, it did take some time to get everything down. And yes, there are a few notes in there too.

To me progressive means it is is not mindless pop, it means someone has taken the time to construct a real well thought out piece with more than three chords, or not just I, IV, V.
I like this is a piece worth listening too, nicely done sir. Thanks, your Wookiee-ness. Yep, same for "progressive" here, or at least that's what I shoot for. I'm glad you liked it.
