I have my list but have not redeemed yet as I might change my mind.  I know 5 items are a certain but heck you never know :D

When I originally bought into the GB I thought, "This is it. I'll never buy in at the $200 level. May as well pick Amp5 SE because I really want the added features." However, some brilliant person outlined the Gear Credits/Jam Points scheme and now I think I can afford the $200 level as well. Just goes to show that GAS is fickle.

    A question.

So Amplitude 5 cost €299 and upgrade cost €199, and i'm eligible for the upgrade rate.

Now do I get value  of freebies for the original price of €299, or is the value of freebies of the price of the upgrade price €199?

As Larry said €199. However many of the products are available at the crossgrade/upgrade price in the group buy because you already bought something $99 or more. For example MODO Bass and MODO Drum normally cost $299, but you can pick them up as freebies at the $199 level.

  3. I should have listened to Larry and not chosen my freebies until the end of the group buy. I am thinking of getting in at the $199 level and thus get Amplitube 5 but I have already picked Amplitude 5 SE as one of my $149 level picks. It pains me to think that I have wasted a pick. What is a poor boy to do?

Can anyone confirm this? I only know the jampoints are going back down you can even get in the minus level if you resell too much :D

I know I read this in another thread, but this is from the gb fine print at the bottom of the page:

Free selected promotional products cannot be sold/transferred. They reside in your account separate from the original purchase and would not be transferred if the original qualifying item is sold.

Note that qualifying products must remain registered in your IK account to retain eligibility.

It would be good for Peter to clarify this. It is not totally clear what was meant by "retain eligibility"

I bought Amplitube 5 SE with Gear Credits, and my account just says I have to wait 90 days to transfer ownership. So GC purchases are not automatically NFR.

But that does raise the question of what happens to your Group Buy freebies if you transfer the qualifying item later? The freebies all appear to be NFR, but will they go away? Or are they yours forever after 90 days?

They go away when you sell the original buy-in.

Read the reviews on this drive, and I'm in!

...Oh well. Newegg says that my email is not eligible for that promo code.

So without the promo, and with tax added,  the current price is $193.04 even with free shipping... 😢

Think you have to be subscribed to their newsletter and are using the same email address when you check out.

$53 for a 2 Tb SSD?  Quality must be S H I T E...no way they could sell that for that price

The fact that they only offer a 30 day warrantee is also suspect. Reminds me of when scammer used to sell "128 GB" SDCards by modifying the firmware of 8 GB SDCards. You wouldn't notice until you exceeded 8 GB and started getting write errors.
