Thanks Fleer... decided to get it anyway.. for those short articulations and some warm layering longs option.

Personally not a fan of the timbre of the instruments. But that is personal preference. The cello has a nice oriental tone though.
Same here, I also find the walkthrough demo a bit unnatural like ''stitched'' sounding. The change between samples isn't that realistic, but it could work in a musical contest. At least to my ears they definitely don't seem to work as an solo or isolated instrument, especially violin. Viola also has a nice timbre.

Just listening to the demo and walkthrough...

@Fleer
Hi Fleer, did you get this? What's your take on it? I'm on the fence as it sounds a bit processed (synth like in places) on the demoes. Cheers man!

When I can get the update I'll make trim down versions of the templates for the Core and Discovery BBCSO.
Lovely Matthew, looking forward to it!
Really enjoying the BBCSO library so far. Did find there were only 3 layers on certain (most?) instruments, so hoping this will improve with this new release (up to 9 layers- but hopefully not only for triangle and snare or such 🙂

Hmm, Zener is great, no regrets here... Parallel Drums, brass, percussion, and the THD sounds lovely and different flavour then the other stuff. I've got an UAD version.
But Weiss on the other hand....

Nice one Simon! THNX for the heads up!

I have Studio Saxophones which includes this Tenor Sax... Really like it. Have to massage MIIDI data quite a bit, but it's worth it.

Thanks BassDaddy... snowing here as well, but only chest fur at site. Gotta protect those lungs!
Fleer I first thought you're up to a grungy, smelly Beats production... then Googled:
Tooth moss = The green algae growth on an individual's teeth as a result of the lack of practicing good dental hygiene.
Go figure...

I second the Helios 69 and Neve DFC which is one of a true sleepers and light on the CPU (ahm.. DPS). Also worth checking out are Avalon VT-737sp, Cooper Time Cube, MDWEQ5, Oxford Envolution (can also be had in the native version). Those are used here on pretty much every mix.
Looking into get the new Neve 1084 or the SSL channel strip, anyone compared them to the Acustica stuff?
