I don't understand vendors thinking that everyone wants to play these possibly time wasting games. I for one have no interest and it makes me want to put these vendors on my "do not buy from list" (but again, maybe it's just me - as I'm also wasting my time posting this 🙂 )

I agree, and if I'm looking at something to buy and I have to think "time will tell", then I'm not interested. Seems like adding all the things you may want would be very expensive. Synth = $200,  8 current effects @ $49 each = $400, already $600 -  and that doesn't include wavetables, sound packs or cloud access.

I think they are way outside of what most people would consider (just my thoughts). So not sure they really did themselves any favors with this new pricing.

I feel that once we pass Sept, 23rd, and people have issues, they will have to find a solution. These are paid for licenses, and just the fact that they changed their authorization method, and your software becomes useless (possibly - if you switch machines) seems like a backlash just waiting to happen. I'm on 11 (which I rarely use) and am not being "blackmailed" (as you appropriately put it) into spending more money, just to use what I already have.

I see they also added the Evolution® Vision Bass in August, but didn't hear anything about that. Anyone else?

I guess this would have been the only plus of Waves going full subscription (as they tried). Less email on weekly sales from them.

They did for me. Sale ends tomorrow. (I also had the free Go2 synth I got from Time+Space a few years ago upgrading Komplete) So 4 free plugins. Got  eXplorer-8 for $74

I transitioned to this in the past year, very few software purchases, except ones, I plan to actually get used. Even stopped downloading most free ones.
