If you want to get it for FREE then DO NOT add the amp to the cart! Get the free guitar and checkout and place order as if that is the only thing you want! There wont be a payment method because it is free. Then before the order gets placed a pop-up will ask if you want the amp as well for $30. It gives you two selections "add to cart" or "no thanks". Choose add to cart. Then it wont proceed because you need to add your payment details. You will see that you need to pay $30. This is when you add the first coupon code. Apply it. It should reduce the price to $7. Then add the other coupon code and it should reduce it to $0. Do this all while logged out just incase you have a saved payment method.

I 'm surprised some people don't get it or give up so easily and accept whatever is shown without finding out or trying something else.

Does Soundtoys Little Altar boy plugin work with Cakewalk?  I'd like to get it while it's on sale but it doesn't show support for Cakewalk on their site.  Anyone using it?

Cakewalk runs VST2 and VST3 as all other DAW ;)

My concern is not so much with how it looks, but how it will perform. At least in my experience, as soon as the words "vector UI" and "4k" appear in interface discussion, sooner or later you end up losing your space to the interface and you sure can scale it as promised, except you can't scale it down properly or at all. Or the scaling down is a mere act of making the text smaller instead of everything. Then you end with slightly more screen state at all coupled with text you can barely read.

And I did download Mixcraft 10 to see it and, see for yourself. This is the default scaling on a 1440x900 display:

And, yet another thing I mentioned. I can't make the interface smaller either:

    image.png.94a737c8319ee299aa4602d1722d7649.png

At least the interface doesn't seem to be any less responsive than it should be, but I've never used the software. Although it takes about a second for menus to open after I clicked them.

And this is Dorico 5 once you start opening stuff to do things. This one doesn't have any scaling options or they only exist in the paid versions:

As long as we don't end with these "Fisher Price" style interfaces where everything is so big and robs you of your screen space, things should be fine.

That with scale that does not go to 50% is a problem. Luckly I have some plugins that have a huge UI size, but I can scale to 75%.

Thanks for the share. I actually don't have that one, but I have a few others.  Is the IK one good?

For me, IK Multimedia Tape Machine 24 and Neold Warble are the best plugins to achieve that classic saturation character with Analog Synths emulations.

2 presets attached are one that i made in IK Tape 24 and then approximated its sound in Neold Warble.

Eryk, but that could potentially lead to some trouble in future. Say I will re-install or migrate Windows in a few years and forget about all this, I'll end up with no vst3 presets wondering what I did couple years ago to make them work.

I have all this .ssp files backed up. In january I had to reinstall my Windows 7 and all the presets that I saved were restored. Very handy!

Only after googling the problem of presets not showing up in my PA plugins did a come across a thread by @Starship Krupa that explained that the problem is actually due to Cakewalk by Bandlab. I imagine that there's no solution to getting presets on PA plugins to show up since you made that post, Erik?  I had wondered what the problem was for a long time before seeing your posts. So thank you for that post.

Thanks for your comment. Now a noticed that the VST3 from Plugin Alliance that show presets are the one that installed presets in this folder in drive C:

The people I watch on YouTube never mention any plugins from Plugin Alliance other than Metric AB.

Allot of the plugin names in Plugin Alliance have me scratching my head.

I'm just thinking maybe those plugins are only good for collectors of plugins rather than something to use on a daily basis?

A little help here.. What's Plugin Alliance known for in Plugins, other than the odd ball naming scheme?

    Edit: They also appear outdated.

bx_oberhausen synth that i got free from Plugin Alliance

and most of the same plugins are sold in Plugin Boutique:

Obs: "Plugin Alliance is a Soundwide company, together with Native Instruments, iZotope and Brainworx."

  8. For some bizarre motive my Rematrix Solo prochannel module disapeared. And I only noticed because of this topic. Luckly I did a clean full install and removed "read only" option from the Cakewalk folder. Problem solved.
