  1. I'll have to check the cpu hit on that. Amplitube tends to be resource hungry. I've run a couple tonex instances for the same, though I tend to use one of my real world drives so I can control with my feet.
  2. I'm willing to deal with it for this particular product. I have virtually every product they have and agree that most take up crazy disk space I wonder if they released a TONEX player vst that lacks the modeling network stuff and took out the VIR, only loading individual IR for the profiles how small it would be. Each capture is a very small file size.
  3. Amplitude bundles though. My own perspective is after TONEX came out my only use for the amplitude amps was simply to compare the difference. $40 can buy some nice TONEX captures from a variety of places and amps.
  4. Just make sure you didn't already get it from PB a few years back when it had a limited time -$5 offer.
  5. Haven't run the updater yet, but some of those are certainly things I was hoping for in the last update. Glad to see it isn't just a "we added products to buy" update.
  6. Yeah, I thought the same. I ended up buying a 2nd pedal during that offer, using JamPoints. 😁 The $300 range is a solid/fair price. $400 is a bit high but not totally unreasonable given just how good it is.
  7. The Dumble collection as free with Pedal Purchase was "worth it" if you had the jam points. The $50 release price would have been borderline, some of those captures are quite good. This one at $100 is too much, but I could see a Boogie fan picking it up. They don't make sounds that are my favorite, and the Amalgam captures are good enough for what I may occasionally take for a spin. They need real grail amps or a massive collection of something to really command that kind of price.
  8. We want Sonar to be inexpensive. The in person store stuff wouldn't be well attended, it wasn't a packed house back in the day and far less likely to get people to show up unless they are also giving away the software. Virtual is the only way to do it these days at a minimal cost. That said, now that YouTube is a thing, I'm not sure I get the point of some sort of paid attendance as these things never end up being all that interactive. And questions could be handled via live stream if that is the goal.
  9. Yeah I usually do this some but since we have no idea what the biggest driver for these deals continuing it is hard to know how to best adjust it.
  10. It is legit but not DRM free, allows 2 installs at a time I think and done through Corel. Full version.
  11. That is what I thought too and a smart move to bring people in as the hardware market is a lot larger for guitar players. And other companies beat them to market, have to do something to entice users
  12. I haven't used it, but I interpret that as the capture tech is done in the cloud instead of locally. Something like TONEX capturing is a barrier due to the computing specs it needs to do advanced captures, but the playback after capture is rather low. Letting cloud servers do the number crunching in the short term sounds like a plus.
  13. At this point I even consider new amp sims outdated upon release given TONEX is on the market (and has hit $40 or less price points).
  14. Based on the EQ, this might actually have Forever29 potential. May have to actually give this a test spin. Wonder why that didn't go crazy with the MSRP here.
  15. Not sure about that product, but the ones I do have require no additional authorization so even if they go belly up then there is a decent chance they have a number of years of viablelaty on Windows.
  16. I got both during the last sale. The cloning and some of the auto brushing features made me grab Painter too otherwise Rebelle would have been fine and even preferable for me. It certainly has a more generous authentication system that I appreciate.
  17. Not sure but the standalone equipment it uses under the hood is also high consumption. I'm sure they just reused code and with more functions in one plugin it adds up. Too bad as it seems nice.
  18. No more generic and even the $25 is based on recent purchase history. The glory days are gone. Not that I need or want one but..Last month was my last voucher and I spent a stupid amount in 2022...don't remember how much in 2023 but a lot less than before. I have some forever 29 that I've been waiting for something amazing to use but nothing has drawn me in. The new Amek Console would have done it if it wasn't a resource hog...unlike the Amek 9099
  19. On my machine simply removing ".vst3" on the folder was not adequate. Even after multiple attempts, reinstalls, full scans, etc I had to rename the folder and move the VST3 file itself into the parent folder. (where other VST3 plugins go from various developers if they are not put in their own subfolder. That worked for me
  20. Did you test on Cakewalk Bandlab by any chance? (seemed to work in Reaper but not Bandlab for me)
  21. My experience installing new versions and after a VST rescan:
  22. This. While I'd like to keep seeing more, the reality is there is a lot there as long as they don't kill off the platform. It remains an impressive free collection that could be a gateway to the brand.
  23. Big fan of the fact it actually does work as a plugin in affinity photo. As for the main raw program they sell, it is frustrating that the version that comes with the plugin option costs dramatically more than the version with all those tools and more in a standalone form. Great way to get some of that functionality for free here.
  24. That is it. It used to be something like $299 retail if I remember correctly. I own it other than the Sunset sound and tape module but my price is the same $99 (and I have the vast majority of IKM products also)
