i don't use BC but i'd be interested in how they compare to similar competitor analysis tool offerings - i use voxengo span, and izotope insight

you could probably pick it up over at kvr, eg, make a "WTB ozone 5" post

good luck!

I'm sure some one will come to your aid soon. However I and many others view ASIO4All as not the best way to access your audio interface. If you have a proper low latency audio and it has real ASIO drivers please use those. If not use WDM drivers. As an aside that is what ASIO4ALL uses.
and to provide some balance, there's also plenty of us who have used asio4all without issue over the years... are you using the latest version?

no need to feel embarrassed, we all learn something every day

I just understand the "default UI" concept as something the host DAW provides for the plugin if the plugin doesn't implement any itself.
this is correct, @Chuck E Baby i think you are misunderstanding this - if a VST does not supply it's own GUI then the host provides the basic "default UI" (usually just sliders?) and cakewalk's implementation of this hasn't been updated since forever... maybe @Noel Borthwick can chip in

wtf? that's so intrusive of magix...

sure, just a workaround suggestion to get bigger ui controls

One use of EQ before compression is to use a high-pass filter (to roll out unwanted low frequencies).
i do this by default on almost every track...

Starting to feel like a beta tester?😉
i thought that was the "early access" stuff?

good work! but let's not let hotfixes become the norm, eh?

that's a much better deal than i'm seeing on izotope's site, and i have a bunch of those qualifiers
-
have you contacted xln about this?

sometimes, the Piano Roll doesn't open when I double click a clip on an Instrument track
how about trying a triple-click? there have been issues in the past with something being selected or focussed or not, so maybe your first click is doing the selecting/focussing but then the second-click of the double-click is only considered a single-click...?

my main culprits were izotope and arturia, fwiw

So I've waited for about 30 minutes, and I'm pretty sure my WiFi is pretty decent, and there isn't anything in any of the folders where Cakewalk is supposed to be installing. Any thoughts?
do you see any network activity in task manager?

Must check mine when I'm on the PC - as others have said I always uncheck the option to install AAX but sounds like there may be some in there

There is no progress bar the first time the files download.
this seems like a bit of an omission

it depends what you've configured closing your lid to do in windows (Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings)

did you guys check the knowledge base already? i'm pretty sure it still works as described

also, fwiw, if it's an external device, power-cycling it will allow windows to drop the driver and thusly cakewalk to close... but to add that this does seem to be cakewalk specific (issues dropping drivers/not closing) as i've never experienced this with other daws
good luck!

it does sound like hardware/driver issue, you can disable the auto-reboot https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/69012-enable-disable-bsod-automatic-restart-windows-10-a.html
good luck!

Both the Korg MS20 and NI FM8 have 64 bit versions, so better to use them than bridging 32 bit ones.
was about to say the same
