  1. I went the other way. Since I had everything else I thought I might as well as get this too… 🤣
  2. For clarity he wasn’t referring to saturation on the mix bus but on individual tracks. I’m visiting my folks in Florida at the moment but when I’m back home I’ll find the notes I have and share them. As Bit said - no guarantee you can pull off what he does but I’ll share what I learned. edit : I was able to access my notes remotely. I forgot how much gold is in there! Here is what I had on saturation: Q: When do you use Saturation/distortion? “Always reach for a saturator” if something doesn’t sound like I can hear it well. Reach for it BEFORE he goes to EQ or compression. Goes for the Omni channel for it right away. …and just so you don’t think he is pumping his plug-in I had this note as well: Says his limiter in his plugin sucks. Lol Had to have zero latency to be used live, so no look ahead. some other tidbits: He said EVERYONE falls for adjusting knobs and thinking they are doing something when the effect is not engaged! Heavy setting on his channel strip is based on “Lo Fi” which he really loves. Decapitator is amazing but he never could tweak it to his liking. Saturn is good. Tape emus and Pheonix. “These all fill in the harmonic spectrum”. He has a Drums Dirt bus that is parallel distortion (used Trash 2 and never used that for anything before or since) Your brain is a “Predictive Engine that Runs on Sandwiches”
  3. I did a mix with the masters class with Andrew Scheps and saturation is one of the first things he reaches for. I asked him how often he reached for saturation before EQ and I’ll have to check my notes but I believe his answer was “always!”
  4. Looks like fun but I feel this is overpriced for what it is.
  5. Thanks guys. I'm a big believer in "trust but verify".
  6. Larry - I appreciate you finding this but I'm hesitant to just install some files from a random google drive. Did you receive a notification from Zero G on this? I didn't...
  7. I have the 32 button version. When you save effects racks in Ableton they actually save as files on your hard drive. I have created icons that open the files for different categories of effects. When using Ableton, I can tap a button on Streamdeck and have a pre-defined effect added to the active track. It's a great piece of kit!
  8. I enjoyed the bargain hunting this year... Audiofier Tetrality 2 Impact Soundworks Massive World Bundle (7 instruments) Kirk Hunter Kinetic Strings Zero G Ethera Gold Atlantis 2 Toontrack SDX New York Studios Vols 1, 2, and 3 Melody Sauce 2 Upgrade 1999 Soprano Sax Moonlight from 8DIO Kilohearts Phaseplant Zebra Legacy Fallout Music Hybrid Studio Taiko Dronar Bundle (4 Dronar Instruments) Dark Intervals Artefact And although it wasn't a deal the item I'm most excited about... A handpan in C Minor from PanAmor handpans (https://www.panamorhandpans.com/). This is the one I got, except I ordered mine in 440 (enjoy this guy's playing - it's fantastic!):
  9. I bought the three New York SDKs on sale. If they marked others down to that level I'd buy more...
  10. Do not try to use the black Friday coupon code with Tetrality 2. It will make the price HIGHER than the current sale price and you can't remove the coupon from your cart. lol I contacted them about a fix...
  11. I have the original Zo - how do I get this one free? Nevermind - I found this info: FG-X PERPETUAL OWNERS Great News! You get FG-X 2 at no additional cost! Just download FG-X 2 and make sure your original FG-X license is activated in iLok License Manager.
  12. I hope they do something about it - it's absolutely ridiculous that the guy keeps spamming even though we've unsubscribed. I will never spend another penny with him again because of his behavior. And I even bought the guy a coffee once...
  13. This is a fun one! I'm using this sale to add Lyrical Cello, Ethnic Flute, and Ancient Dudak to my collection.
  14. This is the way. I picked up Intimate Studio Brass, Intimate Studio Strings, and Soprano Saxophone to add to my 8Dio collection. 🤘
  15. You have to carefully manage free air exchange, humidity and temperature. oh wait, that's mushrooms... 😆
  16. Invest it in the Golden Butterfly portfolio and extract $60k per year without ever touching principle. too boring? Hookers and blow! 😛
  17. I have it but I haven’t spent much time with it. I need to pull up a project and give it a run through.
  18. The code doesn't appear to work on XO expansions.
  19. I wrote him when I saw this in his feed the other day. Time away is not selfish - it’s self-care. I don’t understand the grind of a streamer/content creator. So much work to create a product but YOU are the product. That doesn’t scale well and is very vulnerable to outside forces such as illness or your platform changing the rules. The fact that when he returns the algorithms will ding him for his absence is case in point. His videos are some of the best out there but I wonder if there’s a way he can apply his talents in a manner that can generate revenue in a more durable way. What he did for Spirfire recently is amazin and I’d love to see him get his own libraries out there. Cameron is a gifted dude and I hope he finds a balance in his life.
  20. Here's a great video on the making of this library.
