think the mike needs to be 1mm closer. Yep that is it, 1mm and your problem shall be fixed 😏

The kick in the track you see above lacks  a bit of punch, now I know why.

You should give courses in drum recording/mixing.

How to make your snare sound like Metalica's on St. Anger! 😁

Good that you show professional ways to get a good snare sound,

but I don´t have issues like that:

Thanks for your  esoteric eye opener .

For a recording engineer it´s the biggest challenge to get propper drum recordings,

    specially the snare and kick.

Here my goto kick  trick :

    From the bottom up:

    200w per side power amp

    Custom built input director

    Alembic 2 ch preamp

    SansAmp GED-2112 preamp

On top of the rack is a two way selector

The two way selector chooses either the Alembic or SansAmp preamp.

The input director can accept my Alembic Series 1 (far left 5 pin input), Stereo Out of Rick bass or any mono bass. In order for the mono bass to run there is a Mono/Stereo switch, it must be selected to Mono.

The input director also send the signals to the Alembic preamp.

Finally the input director powers on/off everything as it has AC inputs on the back so all the other units leave their power switches on 24/7 365. I did this mainly because the Alembic preamp's power switch is at the back of the unit.

Your rig  looks very impressive, but be aware

of the drummer of the new generation:

Also, there are 10 types of people in the world - those that understand binary, and those that don't.

and those who can count  polyrythm and those that don't.

Buy 2 get 1... does that mean it's a really bad deal, i.e. you're paying double for something; or that it's a good deal and you get three in total?

Beeing a creative person you get 3,,

    have to admit I'm not

That is a fantastic plugin!  Was a game changer for me. A little heavy on the CPU so must be used sparingly (unfortunately), but it's a really great plugin!  👍

Yes, I can echo your opinion about this (there are 7-9 plugins inside) tool.
