I bought Kontakt as a crossgrade from a free Kontakt Player library at their July sale for $125. Best money I've ever spent! The amount of free libraries available is just crazy! For me, Kontakt is the most essential piece of kit a modern musician/producer should have. It' more essential than a DAW.

Don't know if it has been posted before but these are some awesome free libraries for Sforzando (free sampler). Strings and Taiko.

This pretty generous, even if you have to wait 14 days. I only have one of their $29 products and all of their LABS and can't afford a large orchestral library. Musicians all over the world will be thrilled, especially from underdeveloped/developing nations. Thank you SF!

Very nice free samples! Download process is a pain and Continuata sucks massive donkey balls.
can’t think of why you would discontinue free sample libraries though.

Awesome! Picked the same libraries as you and most people did

Yes to all of this! Simple things go a long way.

Will be fantastic a keyswitch palette in piano roll for kontakt or other libraries.
Yes! This is my most wished for feature. Please make it happen, bakers! 😩🙏

This would be cool. Also, the ability to create a drum map for a track while at the same time being able to use the normal piano roll could solve this. That way you could send only the key switches to the drum map and display it on the drum grid pane above the prv to manage articulations. Key switching is such a fundamental element that that develop simply REFUSE to implement...

(In fact, I believe Cakewalk needs more indicators for features that are a bit tucked away: when any track(s) are hidden, when auto preview and looping is enabled in the browser, for example.)
Yes, please!

Really good piece! Really enjoying it right now.

That's some crazy good orchestration!

Presets are also missing from the PC here.

Amazing update, really. I hope it means that the heavy bug fixing period is over and we can see new features and improvements on existing ones. I think automation and CC editing are sorely in need of attention. That, plus a way of managing articulations, would ake it a contender for the composer market. A revamped Matrix view with full recording functionality would make it an alternative to Live and Bitwig. Excited to see what happens!

Yeah, REAPER is an absolute beast of a DAW.

Doesn't say if the upgrade from Micro is also at discounted price, guess not

If these things were implemented in CbB, it could become a serious contender for composers. Something like Cubase' Expression Maps controllable from the track ispector would be ideal.
And just more robust overall automation and CC editing with the possibility of using envelopes instead of bars in the PRV and being able to export CC to envelope on instrument tracks.

For those of you who didn't know, Steinberg (quietly) offers their old Model E synth for free. I tried it in CbB and it works and sounds great. Enable upsampling and apply some PC saturation and you are in Moog heaven!
The download also includes a bass plugin (pretty cheesy) and a metronome...

Cheeze Machine Pro is also $10 minimum. Great synth!

He’s been fixing bugs a lot and people seem to like his plugins. KVR has some nasty characters who take pleasure in bashing developers, especially if they’re going down. His past behavior does seem odd but I really hope that he will bounce back and that his plugins continue to be improved and debugged.

I think only the paid version of TX16Wx is comparable with Kontakt in terms of features. Kontakt’s effects, loop slicing capabilities, filters, routing, etc. are pretty incredible. It’s not just a library player, it really is one of the most powerful samplers ever made, once you get past the interface.
Here’s an amazing tutorial on vocal sound design with Kontakt:
