  1. Hi,

So, I dragged a loop, stretched to fit project tempo, bounced, made into groove clip, looped section, changed tempo and it all works fine.

But if I use AudioSnap / Clip follows project, instead of Groove Clip, the loop goes out of sync with the metronome when the loop restarts. It changes tempo to fit the project, but it gets increasingly ouft of sync after each repetition.

    That's a tough call!

Waveform has always been a special teams player for me. A backup DAW for special projects and experiments.  I have run across a few Traction bugs over the years, especially with certain plugins. But I give huge credit to the very small and always determined Tracktion development team for pushing a DAW forward that is focused mainly on musicians, rather than engineers! YMMV. :)

Reaper is probably the most stable DAW I've experienced, with some of the best track routing features I have ever seen. But the workflow has cut it from my starting team. It's my backup when I can't accomplish something elsewhere. Always very reliable!

I am now seeing Studio One as my main go to these days, but with a fond spot for Cakewalk and Sonar, which after 20+ years, I just grab CbB first sometimes to try out an idea. Muscle memory, LOL. You are best when you use what works for YOU!. Don't listen to anyone else, especially me! 🤪

Same about REAPER and Studio One. I’ve been mostly using REAPER for a few months exclusively and now I’ve returned to Studio One and the whole workflow and user experience is MILES ahead... I’m not coming back unless I need very specific things done.

I’ve tried Waveform a few times but I always got crashes, even with the stock plugins (😐) but 12 has a rewritten engine, so let’s see if it’s better.

I always keep CbB installed without using it, maybe a future update will convince me to give it a proper go!

I hear ya. I have a couple of the introductory choirs , IOW not full versions that mostly get the job done, but I always get the feeling there are better libraries out there. I haven't listened to this one yet.  I don't use this kind of thing all the time, but when I do I want something realistic that doesn't require a lot of time to place it in a mix and have it sound right. Am I lazy? Maybe.

I don’t think good sound selection is being lazy, it’s actually an integral part on any workflow. If you have to spend a long time making things sound good in a mix you may need better sources.

  4. YouTuber "Fans of Mixcraft" said yesterday that the beta will be sent to testers on August, so there may be and end-of-year release.

  5. oh yeah, the good ole' Mitsubishi W4nker 😁

I thought getting the claps was not something you decide, but rather happens to you. I predict that will happen to developers. They're all getting the claps because they couldn't help themselves.
