  1. I think it's still good. I have a Boss SY-1000 and it enables me to split the signal so I've been sending one signal to S-Gear and another to an old ADA MP-1 and dialing in some of the S-Gear tones on the MP-1. I've had the MP-1 for 25 years or so and still like it.
  2. I don't think you need the step sequencer for this - just use a midi track. Set recording for sound on sound. Set up a loop. I think you can record enable/disable while looping. You'll have to try deleting and see if it works.
  3. I just have the one dll.
  4. I have a number that I use. For the most part I use MSuperlooper by melda productions. https://www.meldaproduction.com/MSuperLooper There's also Augustus Loop by Expert Sleepers. https://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/augustusloop.html I tend to layer sounds and Ableton Live works well for that although it's not like traditional loopers and you get a lot more, but also pay more. For doing Frippertronics stuff I like Imperial Delay, although it only has 10 seconds of delay. https://www.bozdigitallabs.com/product/imperial-delay/
  5. I haven't used it in years. IIRC I saved MIDI bindings inside the plugin. I set it up once and tweaked occasionally. I wasn't a power user - I just did basic looping and I don't think I used presets.
  6. In the first video above Justin says his tone is from the processor that looks like a boss gt-3 and since it's an amp modeler it's hard to say.
  7. My bad, USB 3 and USB 2 have the same latency. USB 3 will move more data.
  8. USB-C is a form factor, it can be USB-2 or 3. Check the specs. From what I've read on Windows USB 3 isn't any faster than USB 2, but it has higher bandwidth.
  9. Just curious, any reason you don't want to use the hx stomp for output? I have a Boss sy-1000 and often use it as an audio interface with CbB or Ableton when practicing/noodling around.
  10. I was trying from the US yesterday and there was no button to select Paypal. I tried with both edge and chrome.
  11. Yeah, I missed out on jam points, but I do like the SSR. Just playing around with the rooms a bit I was able to get some nice sounds pretty quickly.
  12. I had the same problem, went to JRR Shop ...
  13. Spectrasonics. I have Omnisphere and IIRC I paid for one upgrade and an expansion (Bob Moog Tribute Library). but they both seemed reasonable. I've had a number of free upgrades over the years and a couple were substantial. Of course the upfront cost isn't cheap. Also agree with Melda P.
  14. I have the MOTU M4 and it's working fine for me. Availability is a problem.
  15. Not quite true. USB 2 is 480 Mbps and 3 is 4.8 Gbps which is an order of magnitude faster (and 3.1 is 10 Gbps), but transfer speed doesn't necessarily mean reduced latency. Part of it is that there are more data lines with USB 3 so some data is sent in parallel, but there is also a question of how the data is handled by the host. If the host system responded to data every time a byte was received, if enough data was sent, it would be possible to flood the system so all it did was respond to data and didn't have time to process it. I don't know what the protocol is for USB, but apparently the way the host handles incoming data isn't any faster for 3 vs 2. Since it isn't reducing latency it's not a selling point and vendors aren't flocking to it.

    Re-registration

That was on my laptop. I tried on my DAW and got the same results. I checked the firewall and private access was checked, but not public. I checked public and it still didn't work. On my laptop it was the opposite - private wasn't checked, but public was. Bandlab Assistant was set up the same way and it worked.

    Re-registration

When I opened CbB today it asked me to register. The form didn't say what field was what - username/password. I entered in that order - email and password, but I got a message saying it was invalid. I logged in to bandlab assistant with the same credentials and that worked. What are we suppose to enter when we need to re-register CbB?
  18. I have a Viewsonic VX3211 2k, so 32 inches. I wouldn't mind dual monitors, but don't have room on the desk...
  19. USB has a much higher transfer rate - 2 orders of magnitude, but people play just fine with MIDI. Have you tried moving the on/off switch? I normally keep mine switched on and rely on USB power. Once the on/off switch wasn't fully on and the display lit up, but the USB connection was flakey.
  20. It looks like the UMC 1820 has direct monitoring, if you want to hear plugins make sure that direct monitoring on the i/f is disabled.
  21. AD has sweeps in Modern Jazz Brushes mentioned above. I counted 7 different sweeps. They're between C2 & C3.
  22. Try it with Merge All and make sure the MIDI out of the MIDI track in CbB is set to the correct output channel of the MOTU.
