You can't create your own patterns in Scaler though, can you? I believe it only lets you select from a myriad of pre-existing patterns/phrases/performances, but you can't modify them or create your own from scratch. That's where tools like phrasebox and EON arp come in handy.

Very true. Looking at Eon arp as well.

I had something like that... instacomposer which left a bad taste in my mouth for those kinds of arps.

So, unsure about it.  I'll look at some videos on YouTube.

Don’t use it in Reason, though. Won’t work. Bitwig’s fine.

It's not that it's hard Bill and it's easy to work around, it's just the comparison to how most other companies do it so much better and there's no additional costs, or storage required from them.

It's like if you're buying a car and most other manufacturers sell you the complete car but the IK model car is missing one door! The door would be easy to buy (painful to install knowing IKs installers 🤣) but more importantly, you just shouldn't have to.

Same with WUP from Waves, it's easy to pay, but still a crappy practice by them.

Lots of great things about IK and even though their freebies even cop flack, they are really generous in my eyes and some of their software is excellent.

This is an easy thing for them to address and bring them up a level to their competitors.

I have a thorough dislike of WUP

If you have been a long time buyer of plugins you need to get over it when others pay much less otherwise you'll get an ulcer right away (e.g., don't ask me how much I paid for Waves, Plugin Alliance, etc. a few years ago...)

E.g., I'm very happy with the upgrade price, but I already had Opal (which I got for $50). If you got polymax for free and then upgraded, you actually got it for a cheaper total cost.

And quite possibly they saw you already paid for Opal so with PolyMax the coupon they gave you was rightfully stackable. Good show.
