I believe I'll end up sampling my own guitars.

I have 2 electrics and 2 basses in one room and an acoustic in another.  Maybe I should spend some time playing them.  That doesn't cost any money.

What I like about UJAM and AAS is they don't take up lots of drive space.

    From MPS 3  to 4.1 you'll get

    • RX 9 Standard
    • Melodyne 5 essential
    • Groove 3 All Access pass
    • NIMBUS (iLok)
    • R4  (iLok)

    plus MP4 upgrade items

    • Nectar 3+
    • Neoverb
    • Stutter Edit 2
    • Insight 2
    • Tonal Balance Control

possibly other stuff - not sure when Vocal Synth 2 was added...

I bought some of those separately.  Not sure Neorverb and Rx 9 are worth the upgrade price.

I bought the deal a long time ago when Groove 3 offered a continuous monthly payment for a nice price,

Melodyne isn't a real push over the line since most DAWs off that license. I have plenty of licenses.

Some of that also came with Ozone 9 advance.

    Izotopes loyalty upgrade is odd.

  3.  I have the previous version. I don't even know what the new version is.

     What stuff have your removed?

I'm looking for advice on removing some of their pianos.  I'll keep the Giant, Una Corda and Alicia Keys.

I'm not sure The Maverick, Gentlemen, Granduer are really needed.

I'm not really into elaborate pianos anymore and prefer smaller size since I still load from a HDD.

I've removed most of the Abbey Road libraries and Scarbee Keys.

I know. I know. But there are a ton of small developers out there who no one gives two s###s about. Here in the deals page, no one thinks to ask whether it's 'right' when they pick up a freebie because someone got an email with a code/coupon number in it and shared the insider info.  Just pisses me off when people take the moral high ground on a slippery slope.

Some have the attitude of treating developers like a charity. Oddly enough there are developers who have the option to donate. Those developers probably want to quit their day job and do development full time.  They should feel fortunate they can get paid for their hobby.

I got an offer to upgrade from MPS 3 to 4.1 for $149.  I'm not sure if it comes with the Groove 3 All Access pass so have contacted support to find out.  If it does, that might get me to upgrade this year after skipping MPS 4.

    Cheers,

At the price you are basically getting iLok reverbs.

I thought about doing this, but I don't understand why one might need multiple copies.  Is it to extend the number of authorizations for replacement computers over the years? To get downloads you forgot to save in the first place?

That's about it. I have multiple licenses of just about everything IK.

I've bought several of his libraries and thought they were okay, But I'm not crazy about the guy creating ridiculously inflated regular prices you can be certain he never sells any libraries at only to regularly discount his libraries to around 90%. It's just not honest promotion.  Granted, I'm sure everyone here who knows him by now is well aware of his practices, but to those who come here and actually believe those prices are real and they're getting the deal of the century, the practice is a bit less than honest.

Sorry for being a Debbie Downer -- really I am. I just want to make sure that those who peruse the forums and see this thread realize that no one is really paying the $1,900 USD the developer claims on his website. It's pretty deceptive and I just hope that those unfamiliar with the dev realize that while this is a good deal, it's not as good of a deal as saving $1,843 as the developer claims. That's just not honest, even though I realize probably everyone who posted above knows all of these things, some people lurking and not posting are not going to know that and I wanted to do my best to make sure they knew the truth -- it's a good deal, but the reality is, you'll be saving tens of dollars, not nearly two thousand dollars as is claimed.

Inflating prices and and claims of massive discounts are nothing new. I never understood why list price and actual price is listed for every guitar.

Yes, he got a bad rep when it fist library was $$$ and reduced it to $$.

I just look at the bottom line.

My bad... Turns out that I accidentally ordered MAC hard drive.
Arggg.   Lack of sleep takes out another turkey during this holiday season...

Question for anyone else who has ordered OPUS on hard drive - can you actually run it from that drive?
Just trying to figure out if I can extract the data and copy back to the SSD (once it's been reformatted) or do I have to install it on the SSD...

Are you also allowed  the option to download the library?

I have a bunch of these already, but even I'm not going to pass up this deal to fill in the missing bits.  Download is a bit ugly though (lots of clicking and waiting)

It is tempting but since these go on sale around $5 I'd have to check my collection to see if I don't have 12 of these to make the purchase.

  10. Once you get everything IK, Melda, Kilohearts, Arturia.  It does come to point that you failed to explore what you have and buy the miracle EQ or compressor new kid on the block.

As for Kontakt libraries disk space becomes an issue and gets more expensive when you think about switching to SSDs.  You have to start deleting stuff.  I'm starting to ignore more Kontakt freebies.

I have never had to check so many boxes to complete a transaction. By the sixth one it started to feel like a joke.

I hope I didn't trade my soul for these or something.

I was going to buy a library from them last summer but clicking the boxes drove me away.  I need more like that to prevent impulse buying.
