It sketches me out that so many of these studios look like dust-free museums. It's like the entire spiritual foundation of music has been eradicated, and music is now created by super dull middle class types trying to recreate the ideas of the past...surrounded by dollar store fake plants and machine polished decorations. It's the like End Times are near.
It's the glamor shot for the DAW industry.

I have them and deleted them for lack of use. It has nothing to do with quality.

Still a lot of bloat for that.

Stuck repeating the same old muscle-memory chord sequences?
That's the industry standard.

Thought about this one but the one from Waves, Cable guys stuff, 2 Izotope things, would suffice and I haven't really used them.

Remember...you have to agree to surrender your first born, first dollar made, and first home...
that's why I don't bother

Outside of being free from a well known developer, why would I need this? Doesn't Izotope, Melda,Eventide, and others have something similar in your collection instead of looking for some cheap item you wouldn't use anyway just to get this?

I wonder how it compare to TRK-01 from Native Instruments? That seems to have a fairly comprehensive kick sampler/synth.
Plus you can do your own kicks in every synth out there.

The way current events are going, you'll be lucky to get it for $199 on upgrade!
I see it the other way. Therre's so much out there to compete to take our money.

Seems like more of a gimmick. There's no shortage of kick samples out there. Boz has something similar and not as expensive as this. If you have FL Studio they have one. Seem pricey in my world.

You could probably test your theory by ensuring that your Syntronik 2 library content path is exclusively pointed only to a dedicated Syntronik 2 folder, and no reference is made to the SampleTank 3 path.
If everything works as expected, I see no reason that you couldn't just use the delete key on the SampleTank 3 folders that Syntronik 1 is living in.
But YMMV. Not responsible if it blows up, LOL!!!
Too bad they forgot uninstallers. Nothing like creating a disaster to happen. I guess if one did it right just delete everything ST and Syntronik and start from scratch.

I keep playing with it here and there and do get some good results from Syntronic. But I resist as I have too many synths and also these GB means you will get all these synths but it will not count towards any sort of discount towards a Max studio. Thats at least how I understand the IKM busness model.
Waves is the same way.

While supposedly their stuff is top notch the pricing isn't as competitive even to VSL or Spitfire.

Not long ago it was $34 on AAS site and they were also throwing in latest versions of all their other synths with that. Unless of course you'd already bought them when they came out in which case you got........oh yeah, that's right.....a worse deal than somebody who'd never bought anything from them.
(Haven't quite let that one go yet...lol.)
That aside, I would recommend trying the demo before buying. It's not all that really and there was nothing there that made me feel the need to get it. YMMV of course, but it's only been out a year and this is not the first time that it's been heavily discounted, so I'm guessing it hasn't exactly been setting any sales records.
I bought it just to vomplete my AAS collection. I assume Cherry Audio has pretty much wiped out a lot of competition. I'm not into the modular thing. I think of it as the Linux of softsynths. It's much easier visually to open up Serum, Sylenth, or Spire and do what ever you want. If I were really into modular I'd just mess with Reason.

Very little information on the specs. Do not be confused that these are WD Black editions. Black editions are 3.5 and a 5 yr warranty @7200 rpm. No information about drive speed listed. One reviewer did mention that drive speed is slower.
I'm a WD fanboy because of their RMA service.

I'm seeing 54.50 as the price. I already have. I forget how underrated these IL plugins are.

Micro = not the price compared to what's out there.

So how do I get rid of Syntronik 1 and those sounds. I need to reduce bloat. Syntronik 1 is not in add/remove programs. The next part would to be to remove those sounds. I have everything for 2.

Codemeter runs in the System Tray on Windows, and it is pretty unintrusive. I don't
mind it...but I don't mind iLok either. Everyone has "their quirks"It doesn't bother me. Reason uses it. BTW how many installs are allowed for this plugin?

This is a set of hoops I refuse just to get a free plugin.

If you don't have a nice Orchestra library then it isn't a bad purchase. Is it the best out there? No IMHO, but for most of us that are not Jerry composing Symphony pieces it does the trick. Heck I would love to have Vienna Cube but I don't have $$$$ for it.
I'd take Garritan if it were at that price. Easy to use and small footprint. Spitfire Originals are $29 each.

Wasn't that library originally sampled more than 20 years ago? Frankly, I'm surprised IK is still selling it and hasn't put out something new. It's ridiculously outdated and has been for many years.
They did a lot more to it. The original might be 8gb total.
-
Did anyone install the 38gb one yet?
I feel like I'm in 8dio world. Over sized libraries and slow times on a HDD. I'd prefer not to waste SSD space on sampled synths.
