Now that's a deal..... (although a bit naughty of them to be doing it so soon after release)

Could it be that Larry's crown just slipped a little? 😀

Larry wasn't the OP.  Usually if it isn't Larry I don't trust it.  There is a link provided.  Usually I cross reference posted deals with KVR and Vi-Control.  Nothing there and where is this mysterious FB page?

For a limited time, selected Augmented STRINGS Intro users can unlock the full potential of our morphing string engine by upgrading to the full version for just 29€/$

    I'm not selected either.

Me neither.  I kinda gets you into that "pissedoffness" usually reserved for IK.

If it was promoted on social media I'm not seeing that either. Last posts from Arturia go back to June,

    I have collection 8 and FX3.  I guess I'm not good enough.

It was in Pulse when I opened it

That's like saying of it's on the internet is must be true.

Preference in Pulse are really stupid.

I like how 8dio does it. You don't need their loader.

If you move their folders it's ridiculous. Go to Pulse and go to open in the library if you moved it.  There is no extension or anything to open.   Why make a good product and then half ***** the delivery.

And anyone with a recent Arturia V Collection already has the Mellotron V. :)

    • You have a great collection of the best original Mello tape sounds.
You can use your own samples as "tapes" if you want (looped or non-looped).
This way you will have an ever growing assortment of sounds. The samples will
play through the emulated "tape mechanism", which will give them a vintage
sound that can't be achieved anywhere else

I did not know that.  You can do this with any sampler.  I did it many years ago when I was into programming samplers.  I did it with Kontakt and VSampler.

These are good if you're into vocal libraries. The solo voice titles do contain phrases, but they also have playable legato vowel patches too (some have more vowels than others), so you can play any melody/harmony that you want.

Meanwhile Bela D has a sale and thinking of Gothic Choir.

I’ve had a discussion with myself today whether I should level up my Groove Agent SE and get Groove Agent, but after looking at the comparison chart at Steinberg my left brain finally told me no. I do have a lot of options when it comes to drums so I can’t find the motivation even at 50% off.  The biggest benefit for me would have been to be able to use it outside Cubase.

I have yet to discover the ones in Komplete, MDrummer, Battery, Modo Drums.

The sounds they managed to supposedly get out of that are almost too good to believe. I would be slightly skeptical as well. If it's a contest, yeah I would be after the program files to be sure. I am not familiar with this synth, but is does seem a stretch unless there are a load of outboard samples in it.

It's a simple synth with no effects.

The flagship synth is Sytrus then Harmor.

I have everything for FL Studio.  I finally messed with all their synths and realized if this was 15 years ago I wonder if it would've tamed GAS.

You get "Some" plugins free with the card, and the card offloads the processing for UAD plugins from the PC CPU,
saving system resources and "lightening the load"!  There is a definite "sound" difference with the UAD Plugins
also.  But the UAD Plugins, even on sale, aren't cheap!

I guess the affordable way is to not use CPU heavy plugins. use Reaper or VE Pro.

This kind of stuff is only for people who make money off it or the hobbyist thinks he's cool for having this.

So much hostility in this thread!

I know Larry and it came across rude to me as well.

    Sometimes humor misses the mark…

I thought I was at Vi-Control there for a bit.

Even at $119 I'm not a fan of these type libraries that have phrases.  I have some that take up space.  There's enough loops out there not tied to a player.

I have fewer plugins today than I had ten years ago, and I could lose half the ones I still have and not miss them.

The only category that continues to grow, albeit much more more slowly than in the past: sample libraries. But it's been years since the last time an acquisition truly inspired me to be creative.

I'm less persuaded to buy them because they are bloated and then you have to figure in having the disk space.

This reminds me of the Arturia's collection of symphonic sounds. Many of these sounds are very convincing. If this is an included plugin inside of FL all the better.

It seems there are little gems in some of these DAWs,. I updated Mixcraft last night and had forgotten there are some nice little plugins and instruments in it.

I'm on the fence with sample libraries. I have enough of them now to make decent music, so why look at more of them? It seems like an endless money pit. Everyone comes out with another library the following year . NI just came out with something else. They all do. I admit to a fixation with them, but I can't possibly use all of them or learn all of them in my lifetime.

I like having plugins set up by type rather than brand. That way I can better look though the massive pile I have and make a decision. There are a lot of them I seldom ever use.

It's very plain and requires enhancements.  I'm hoping to see the project files.  Most of your 3 Osc synths like Spire and Sylenth  make nice string sounds. I've seen some trance tutorials where they make a few adjustments from the init patch.

They have contest in the FL forum using certain plugins.

  12.  I got a drive I'm sure that's ready to give out.  Odd one day my newer system didn't power up.  I unplugged it an plugged it back in and it startup. I started to hear the heads making noise.  When you check SMART, run the long generic tests everything is OK.   So I guess which ever drive dies that's the one.

I'm too lazy right now to open the case and listen closer.  I need to take screenshots of all of the folders.

    There are 3 2TB HDDs

WD Gold - 5yrs are up in Oct

    WD Black 10 years old

Seagate - RMA replacment just recently

I'm thinking replacing with a 4tb and 1tb SSD and only put stuff I "use".   Gotta go with a 5yr on a 4tb and they aren't in my idea price range.

I'll take it!  I'd like to think I'm both.

Thanks!  I do agree that there are things that should be smoother and I'm working on making sure that happens.  I'm not the only one, so I'll happily carve out that doubled salary amongst the advocates you all have on board over here ;)

Fair constructive point(s) there and thank you for the kind words.  It is a bit frustrating but also great in other ways that we take on a lot of different lines.  I've been here through a lot of the new product line introductions so I feel a bit like a grizzled veteran sometimes but overall optimistic when I don't let myself get anxiously buried "in the weeds".

The person who designed that preset noticed.  Thank you for giving a shout out about their work and others.  Also thank you for the great sample.

Free licenses for CS versions are added to every account.  To get the additional Sunset Sound modules is 9.99 for those who already have T-RackS Sunset Sound Studio Reverb (even from a group buy or similar, sorry that didn't happen correctly from the go... again... but trust me that's been a road traveled a LOT over these past days since the release).

I wasn't the only one successful but I did keep pushing and my apologies that it wasn't right there out of the gate.

You can also use MixBox in your DAW, it could be useful if you want to experiment with keeping a chain of 500-series style modules at the ready and taking up only one insert or send slot, in that way it is a bit lighter or maybe better stated as a quicker and simpler workflow than a suite like T-RackS.  I'd rather use MixBox for chaining these modules and T-RackS processors as single processors in my workflow.  Of course YMMV so you may still not gel with the aura of MixBox and similar.  That's fair enough, everybody works differently or at least prefers something different.  Otherwise life and creating music and other cool things would probably be pretty boring.

That's the problem I rarely work at all. It's spending too much time on forums and small price DAW stuff.
