Not sure why this was posted now. The v16 update was released back in early June. I installed it on 8 June. Is there something I missed?

I guess this one forgot the link.  No links means a thumbs down.  We need Larry back. He does it right.

Well, *I* am offended because he has long hair and wears glasses. Plus he looks too young to know what he's talking about.

But - when he touts a product he backs it up with examples. I never get the impression that he's a shill. I give him high marks for credibility and objectivity.

And how do we know what Dan Worrall's fingernails look like? Never seen them. What's he hiding?

I like this channel. He does review plugins from smaller developers.

There goes De Capo for like $100. I used to want it but then forgot about it sort of. Is that the lowest price it will likely ever get?

Maybe. Usually wait til Dec. if it's in the 12 days sale.

Pianoteq is physically modeled... and sound great to my ears.

Not sure the technology/techniques are there yet... at least not for all instruments.

Physically modeled guitar sounds (that I've heard) sound more like a harpsichord.  Thinking of the Kronos

When most people are familiar with playing an instrument you realize how fake a sampled library can sound.  There's this worry the average listener might notice this.

  5.  I'm beginning to think that more DAW users are exhausted from adding more effects to their library.  IS there really anything new under the sun? No, but when something comes out it has to be praised as the latest and greatest and then you get some end users to go along with that. Sample library developers are going through the same thing trying to reinvent the wheel.   The world economy isn't the great and these things are now looked at as luxuries.  I get why so many are turning to offer subs.  I guess most are willing to bite on $9 a month on most things.  Subs are also dangerous to the end user if they don't keep track of them.

I disagree with that as an absolute statementm, there have been deals never to return....but when it comes to PA, I'd agree that is pretty fitting as rock bottom prices tend to resurface over and over..

I like this EQ, love the layout (CPU hit not so much and the top end can get a bit harsh depending on what you are doing with it).  One of my go-tos though.  That said, it has also been available for less than $30 more than once assuming universal voucher codes and the like.

More often the deals get better.

I don't care for the new activation method....install a new hd, get a new activation...have a major update in Windows, get a new activation...mess with your Lan, get a new activation. Right now my Cubase always works and I can switch machines just by moving my eLicenser. Cubase 12 is definitely a downgrade license wise.

But with that said I may give in one of these days ;) Still running Wavelab Pro 11 on the elicenser as well...if it ain't broke don't fix it :)

I like their new licensing since I've got it on 3 machines.  I found out it might be a good idea to restart your system after an upgrade because yesterday I had a licensne not found issue and a restart did it.

You missed the couple of hours of excitement on it.  Several posts were deleted (and needed to be deleted), and one user was banned (and needed to be banned).  The thread should have been locked.

I didn't think that has happened before.
