  1. I've never used it.  They ditched their b3 and Kore 2.   I guess their getting rid of it because all the EDM gurus never touch it.  It will probably resurface as a Kontakt factory library.

  2. His skills playing guitar is just a small part.  He might be the most talented Van Halen.   Too often more is made of him doing his dad's licks.  He writes his own songs and he's played all of the instruments on some of his recordings.   His music doesn't remind you of VH.  Unfortunately when your dad is a legend I'm sure people want a VH tribute instead of his own music.

  3. The long promise you have been waiting for.

As an owner of a Liquid Notes license from Re-Compose, you should have previously received an email from us regarding its future. In that email, we mentioned that Liquid Notes was now owned by W. A. Production and would no longer be supported/developed. We also informed you that W. A. Production would provide you with a future product containing technology from the Liquid Notes plugin.

I'm not hardcore. Just a casual gamer, and I did spend $149.99 on an ASUS GeForce GTX 1650 two years ago. It does everything I need it to, gets insane FPS on classic games. And does very well on most games from the last 10-15 years, running on an i5-9600K.

And I spent $129.99 for an MSI GeForce GTX 950 2GB GDDR5 around 6 years ago. That one is still working well on an older PC, a 3rd gen i5-3570K.

Same here.  I have a 9800GT still running in another system.   I avoid many modern games that require a boutique card.  Those are usually crap and bloated.  If I were to do a DAW only build I would go with an CPU with built in graphics.  Those processors are more affordable.   I think graphics cards are the most overprice piece of hardware these days.

Not sure about that - you still get battery Expansions being released regularly.

I rarely see those and I look for them. Most often developers use Kontakt.

How could I forget Modwheel?   There are so many great small developers, but they make high-quality stuff that is really unusual.

Anyway, I was reminded because they sent me an email about  a new freebie that is available for a short while called Wreckage.

    https://www.modwheel.co.nz/wreckage?utm_source=MODWHEEL&utm_campaign=40c364968a-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_20220905_WRECKAGE_LAUNCH&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_a67e6c42b0-40c364968a-443798345&mc_cid=40c364968a&mc_eid=1c0d8cda9e

I use their acoustic bass a lot.  This began as a library with a lot of unusual bass noises.  They then updated it and added the typical pizzicato and arco sounds.   I tend to use it for acoustic bass, as it has a lot of stuff you can't find anywhere else.

There's a free version of some Lowdown soudns called Tasty Morsels
    https://www.modwheel.co.nz/free-stuff

    There's also a freebie that's all Feedback.

Interesting that I downloaded Wreckage and deleted it without even trying it only because I have so much stuff.  I downloaded again and will try it.

I'd say the best alternative strategy is joining that Facebook group Larry and I are in. He reposted a lot of his deals from that group. But what he did better than anyone I know of was provide additional discount codes and sales from developers that don’t use affiliate marketing. However,  that group and the music software deals site  guy that post here doesn't share the codes or a lot of the deals from smaller devs because they're focused on making commissions off of your sale. They only show you deals where they get a kickback and exclude the codes and developers that don't give them a kickback.

I guess one has to search "I'd say the best alternative strategy is joining that Facebook group Larry and I are in" to find it.  I may have joined it but FB is really messy.  You get these feeds because friends replied to something you didn't join.

    My 2 (pence/cent/centavos/etc.)

Lars was on top of immediate availability of sale items that I would get in a company provided email sometimes up to two days later (ToonTrack comes to mind the most). Without Lars posting his insane amount of threads daily I'll just rely on company related announcements. I may miss a deal here or there, but such is life.

Maybe his supplier went dry.  I doubt he spent hours surfing the web.   I also think his absence may have more to it since I can't see him getting that upset.

I believe you don't need to buy the dongles anymore if you buy their new software.. But I am still in C 10.5 and using the old licensing. Can't be arsed to upgrade. Everything works for me as is .

It was brought to their attention on the Steinberg forum that Elektra license gets installled in the eLicenser.  Can't really undo it either.
