They've been having system issues & there's quite a few complaints about it. It was suggested  to re-subscribe to their newsletter again. Good luck!

     I tried that. We'll see.

I haven't received vouchers for a while now - guess I'll email them!

Sometimes that's not a bad thing.  I hardly use the ones I have or can't remember which ones.  Often you buy them because they are cheap only to bloat your VST scan.  I bought their drum placer for $9 and when do I ever need one and I also have Slate's and Cakewalks.  Most of the time you look at the $ amount and make pointless choices.

Install ST4 content to a new path. Keep your existing ST3 content. No need to install any ST3 content again, but is available for download if you need it.

ST4 allows for multiple content paths.

ST3 and ST4 can be installed side by side.

If you see a lock symbol on content you should have access to, open a support ticket.

Done. Their solution did not work.   I was told to enter the serial again, no change.   I'd like to see in ST4 what these sounds are that take up 30gb of space.

The pricing is "everyone" can upgrade using the pricing above  even if they do not own the previous version. It's a little confusing on the surface but basically they just lowered the prices of the Retail versions to the Upgrade price.

If you have lots of IK stuff this ALL sale means Do Not Buy.  Far better bargains will come.

One big plus is that they base plugins on a common design, so you won't shift from one to another and be totally lost. When I got this new machine I didn't load anything but Melda and iZotope, so the fun learning game is when a new FX gets touted I go searching for how to do that with Melda.

Flashy plugins that have a steep upgrade cost have serious competition. Some of those suites would pay for Melda's Complete Bundle during their 50% off sales... Difference is you pay to upgrade the other guys, but Melda gives the upgrades to you. I am still on the iZotope upgrade train, but Melda takes care of most everything else...

VSTis... those are a different story...

Lack of in depth tutorials really hold these back from being popular.   There is Chandler's youtube channel that's helpful.   Sometimes VSTBuzz or APD will also have a sale on Melda stuff.   I got their super duper compressor and delay for $99.

While you have your demo period enabled via Custom Shop (and Custom Shop open in the background) there is no hissing.  When they are unauthorized and you do get hissing, the levels should be nowhere near damaging to ears or monitors - I've been using IK product for longer than I've been here (and that's almost 10 years here) and any time I've heard this, including recently with unauthorized TR5, it was not too loud.   If this is not the case for you like you state, I'm sure IK Support can figure out what's going on and if they can replicate they'd report it to the developers.

It's that way for me when I opened them up in Reaper to check which ones are demos. I got this bundle to put on two older machines even though I have TR5 on my two other machines.   I thought I could mess up my licenses by refreshing my gear and have the two old machines using up my TR5 licenses.  I know there can be 10 authorizations but the way Windows is going with their upgrades I've had to deal with reauthorizations of some software.  So far that hasn't been the case with IK.  Give MS a chance and they may break that too.

BTW has anyone ever used up 10 authorizations?  Is support good at handling that?   I doubt that will happen to me since I have multiple licenses.

Also this was a nice gesture of IK giving this deal.   I also now have ST4.

Does ST4 overwrite ST3?  Do I make a separate folder for ST4 sounds?

Thank you very much!  I also just figured out that if you look under My Products on the IK website, under the entry for "T-RackS CS Deluxe" there is a "Download  Resources" button.  When you click that, you can download the User Manual and they are also listed in there.  🙂

I have to go into those VST folders and remove the extras because the hissing sound on those demos with either damage your ears or your monitors.  I wish their installer would allow you to chose.

You shouldn't if you are logged in and have tickets open with the email/info from your IK Account.  Perhaps it was a Sales & Service inquiry?  Those do not create tickets in the system.

Ohhhhhh!   Bummer.  If I did it the other way it may have been solved by now.

Waves Element 2.0 Virtual Analog + Waves Flow Motion FM Synth  looks like a nice synth combo for $25.88   :D

I have Element and never used it. Some say it's a resource hog.   As for Flow Motion, I have Sytrus and FM8.  More soft synths have FM such as Spire and Synthmaster. "Learn the synth" list seems to never stop growing when DAWs are throwing in synths. Now we have Waves throwing their hat in the arena. BTW that dude with Flow looks like he has a cool man cave.  It looks like Star Trek meets DAW.

That's okay for dipping in and out, but the idea of paying full price for mcomplete vs 50% in a sale (maybe less if resellers are honoring the sale price too) makes that very expensive financing.

The plus side is you will never have to pay that again.  They have lifetime free updates. It would probably take you two lifetimes to actually master all of those.

Please open a ticket as it should have automatically been placed in your account if you purchased and authorized SampleTank 3 SE after that date.  Thank you.

Nothing yet in my account.  Once again I have no clue who to contact support so I originally tried sales support.  Never got a confirmation email that I created a support ticket.    Please advise!!!

LOL, that is a good summary of things. As I am playing with T10, I realized that I got this new machine about 10 weeks after getting the T8 deal and never installed it on this computer. While plying with T10, I tore into Collective and Biotek seriously for the first time, and I really like those guys. Turned out, the T10 demo comes with the versions I owned from T8, so they authorized.

Long story short... I *assumed* that both of these were locked to Tracktion but found out that regardless of what installation path you choose, they install to C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins. Once I added that path to VST scans in SO4 and CbB, they pop up for use. 😁

I am still having a very difficult time clicking with Tracktion's workflow, so will see how this plays out; but the two things I really wanted (Collective and BioTek (1)) from this demo I realized I already had.

Just a quick FYI for folks, since I have never had the Steinberg plugin path in my VST scans... It won't hurt to add that path if not already done. AAS is the only other verdor I have that seems to install a duplicate there, even though I told it not to.

I hate that. That is so 90's.  You should be able to move those.  I pay careful attention to where my plugins go.  Some DAWs like Live do not allow for multiple VST folders. While I probably wont deal with this DAW anymore (too many) I like their VST management.

Thanks.  Fan speed on 'Q' is about 1205 to 1275 RPM.  Fan speed on 'P' is 1457 up to 1900 under load.  I do note a higher pitched whine when it got to 1850, but before that the sound was about the same.  It seems I am a little limited with  CPU fans as the motherboard is a little older, and I have to use a CPU fan with those Intel push pins as there are no nuts/mounts on the back side of the motherboard to hold a different fan with screws.  I am trying to hold off on removing the motherboard just to put a mounting bracket back there.  At that point, I would probably just get an updated mobo.

    thanks again!

I hate Intel stock coolers with the push pins.   Most cases these days allow for a heat sink upgrade so you don't have to take the board out.

I have no money and lost my job.

If the sound card with Sonar worked OK 'til a few months, must be a solution.

I thought that was the case.

Some use ASIO4ALL instead of the manufacturer drivers.

Is the card also being used for Windows sound? That will create problems.

Pull the card out, remove all drivers and software.  If possible remove all registry entries.  Boot the system so there's no evidence it's there.  Install again.

The issue can be with Windows 10 if it was upgraded.  Some things get reset and are hard to track down.

It appears this device is still supported by Creative.
