Interesting though is if I wanted to try the Mac side I would go with one of these cheese grater Macs.  Apple made the mistake of making these easy to upgrade.  I've come across people still using these boxes instead of going wit Apple's latest and greatest.  I'd have to wonder though with this TB adapter using Windows on a Mac is a night and day difference for those Mac users running one of those high end units like an RME.

Recently I grabbed a copy of their AutoGain plugin.  Makes gain-staging easy-peasy.

Nice to hear this.  Their plugins require a manual install and no serial number.

pfff, I, an existing customer (I have Lab 3), get a price of $399 and no pigments.

Did you click the crossgrade offer? That's $199

I'll pass. I don't need any more synths to add to the confusion. Someday maybe since I like the company.

It's definitely worth the asking price, unless you already have too many synths... :D

I like the new Richard Devine presets. I think they explore the synth's capabilities better than the original factory presets.

I place synth  up there with the other great underrated synths out there. It has some unique sonic characteristics, and deep programmability. Wolfram Franke, the Biotek developer, is a veteran programmer formerly with Waldorf Music.

That is me.  I never bothered to try the 1st one.   I have a backlog of learning how to use the ones I have.

    Sounds even worse to me:

This feature requires that the computer is continuously connected to the internet during use.

With all of the no shortage of mixing plugins I'm moving away from certain types of authorization schemes.  Ones like Melda is simple and don't have a machine limit.

Thanks for this info Bill. I wasn't aware you could do that.

I got ESC as part of a bundle with SampleLord... and its SampleLord I really wanted because of its native support for the V-Machine.

To be honest, the only two times I've ever used my own sampled instruments in Kontakt was when I made them available on this forum. I normally just use SampleLord with the original sf2 as it's way less CPU intensive, and has slightly less latency than Kontakt.

I wonder what is going on with this developer.

Had interest until I saw this:

Plugins require an iLok3, or iLok cloud for authorization

A major - .   Who wants to buy an iLok upgrade when iLok 2 requirements are plentiful.  I may be guessing but this comes across as someone worried more about protecting the product over improving it.    Let's see Boz, IK, and many other developers.....no iLok.

How can there be so many specials but no real discounts.

Sorry I’ll stick with the IKM stuff that I have now but won’t be getting any others.

Add to that when you’re in Australia you’re effectively penalised around 35% because of exchange rates.  Just priced themselves out of the market for me.

It's kinda like Izotope. It's a waiting game.
