It is really a cool plugin. It has uses beyond the master bus too. So even if you don't get far into a project keep it in mind as an effect!
That's why I bought. It wasn't the compresor, eq, yada, yada, I have so much of.

I WISH I could have gotten it for $14.99 with the ANY-3999 voucher!
I got Fiedler Stage instead. Basically another PA plugin I won't use because I don't get far into a project.

I just did it a few minutes ago....unless it was a mistake and they fixed it...IDK
The voucher "ANY-3999" requires a specific quantity of products in your cart.
Please check the voucher requirements. -

They could've added hi-res to 11 instead of creating more instruments to sell.

Hmmm I have Reason 11 and have yet to try it out.
I've had a license since 4. When you try to use it with basic functions most DAWs have you find it lackluster. Sure the instruments and racks are cool but other than that it's not in the same league as most DAWs. You have to be a fanboy to appreciate it. I'll probably upgrade anyway.

Not a word from PA Support...pretty sad
Not a dime from me either. This would have been an unnecessary purchase to being with. It's nice to get that kind of help that put's you in the pass category.

I'm sure most of us have "better" strings to do this with!
But I do LOVE the song! You can do a search for a midi file and download it. I won't post any links because these midis are probably a copyright violation. I might have to try this with my recent 8dio strings, brass, and Liberis, all orchestral,

Bittersweet Symphony!
That string part was also used in a song called Solo
Interesting how one can come up with a great line and repeat it over and over and it works.
You could probably use this song to basically sell any string library. Most people are probably too into the riff and not the quality of the library. One could use GPO or one of those not so great NI strings in Konplete.

Just occurred to me that I'd also have to buy another disk drive if I want to retain the older Kontakt factory libraries. I currently have two 1TB drives dedicated to samples, both nearly full.
I don't recall any new libraries in Kontakt 6. Also upgrading adds Kontakt 6 and doesn't delete 5.

Dealbreaker for me as well. Bye Loopcloud.
Any other alternatives other than ADSR? (I need to check it out, I haven't yet). I don't even mind a low cost one, but LoopCloud was great until this.
I organize my loops in folders by developers. I'm use to what most of them produce. Maybe that's why I find these sample managers more confusing.

So where was the RnB?

Up until recently, I've made most of my music using acoustic drum samples from Superior Drummer. I've managed to get a good feel for how to mix them, using parallel compression, and a bit of post compression EQ.
Lately, I've been experimenting more with electronic music, and using drum samples that are closer to that genre. The thing I'm finding is that electronic drum samples generally seem more processed/ready out-of-the-box, rather than the somewhat raw drum recordings of SD's acoustic kits. If I apply a similar workflow, I'm finding that I usually get quite an unnaturally hyped high end.
Could anyone offer any tips on how to approach mixing electronic drum samples? e.g. would it be better to lay off the parallel compression/skip it altogether, or should I just approach it in a different way?
I wonder if it has to do with the genres. I have some tutorials from Trance producers and they don't sidechain either.

There was one particular venue I used to go to a fair bit and I'd gotten to the point where I thought it must be the venue acoustics or something that was responsible for the bass heavy, muddy sound because almost everyone seemed to sound that way, I'm talking major bands f the time, so you'd think they would have pro sound guys who knew their stuff, but then I saw Earth, Wind and Fire in the same venue and it was probably the best sound that I've ever heard anywhere.
So it wasn't the venue.......
I got to see Alice Cooper and Motley Cure. Crue was too loud and I though maybe those sound guys are clueless, deaf, or using ear protection used on runways. Some of us were born before the louder is better era,

I used to play the Love album to death when it came out, but thought they were a bit disappointing live tbh - sound quality wasn't great though, so maybe more to do with that than the performance itself.
It's often that way with live performances. There use to be this small venue in Scottsdale, AZ where you could see many famous band that got started in the 80's, I'm sad it shut down and it wasn't due to covid. They were in the city and wasn't a really good location for it. They decided not to renew their license.
