Pricey for something that is basically a preset. That's always the case when an artist name is attached to it.

I here you. I recently decided to price out a new Mac Studio M2 Ultra, configured similarly to my Lenovo P17 ThinkPad with 7 TB of SSD. By the time I was finished adding RAM and SSD, 27" display, keyboard and mouse, I was over 6K €. I think I'll stick with what I know. I was writing assembler TSRs for MS-DOS back in the '80s. Been stuck in that ecosystem ever since.
Oddly, after years of listening to complaints of Windows upgrades hosing users' systems, it's now MacOS users who have to be cautious about OS upgrades.
Most of the anti PC is a myth. Then again people bought cheap laptops will eventually look toward buying Apple. I know I would but I detest portability and small screens.

I don't care how good their plugins are, I refuse to buy anything by Universal Audio ever again. Why? Their intrusive Windows App Manager (or whatever they called it; I can't remember). Uninstalling it doesn't get rid of a ton of crap that it installed in the first place. I spent quite a bit of time tracking down all of the files the uninstaller left behind and in the Registry Editor cleaning all of it up.

Same here. I'm done with developers that do this. There's no shortage of good plugins these days.

I think at this point, if Bandlab gave us the option for a perpetual license, the number of people that would buy it might pay the bills for the developers for maybe a month. After that, then what? They will still be dependent on the rental revenue or as a loss leader.
Why bother. I think they are best off just sticking to their original decision for rental only. That is either financially successful or it’s not.
So this must be about few people use the software to begin with.

As an AL Pro licence holder I was hoping for a real no brainer personal offer for Pigments. What I got was a 69euro offer to buy the thing that I already have.......
I want to love you Arturia, but you do have a certain knack for making that difficult....
I think most of my Arturia deals were never on Black Friday.

I don't recall them having an all Choirs bundle like this.
Aetheria Choir and Lacrimosa Pro I don't recall seeing.
If you buy Lacrimosa Ultra it comes with Aetheria.
That whole bundle gonna take up a lot of disk space.

Nate,
I'm not sure if it's a good price, however, it's better than the original price. It's not for us hoarders who open DAWs just for the plugins to scan.

I took trumpet for a few years as a kid. Bless my parents. They were really happy when I switched to piano…
I have Yamaha practice mutes for trumpet and trombone.
I refer to them as silencers when I kill music.

I think the only thing the makes the EZ line great is their player. It can be a money pit since their libraries are about styles. Plus they take up disk space.
I get plenty of 3rd party emails where their midi prices are a lot more than the sample packs with midis from many producers. I always bite on their $9 midi packs. Some are great and some are so so that are not drums.
The EZ key line is the real money pit. Look at all of the synths and pianos you already have and it's their player that's the draw. I was thinking about the Synthwave but just about every synth I have contains synthwave presets. I've bought some sample packs that come with midi, wav, and project demos to load into some DAWs. Those can be used as templates.
I did go for the Electronic Pop keys, Jazz and Neo Soul midis.
BTW they changed the EULA. It's kinda confusing. Is it for one system or all in your account?
INSTALLATION. You (one user) may download, install and use a Product on one computer or on more than one computer only if these computers form a single production unit or constitute separate workstations necessary for the task at hand and belong to the same owner. The number of concurrent installations of a Product is limited by the provisions or authorization process on the Toontrack Music website or the copy protection system included in a Product. If the Product does not have a copy protection system, no more than two concurrent installations are permitted. The number of permitted concurrent installations are subject to change without notice
They do things right with distribution which NI still can't get right.

My local GC has limited high end gear so it wouldn't be as serious if that happened.
I guess a lot has to be said about the building construction.
-
For all of the IK bashing elsewhere it's nice to see developers actually upgrading their products. 90% of the time other developers are upgrading their distribution apps.

Incredible products - it's too bad they have one of the worst sample players ever conceived in the history of software. Actually, that award belongs to Best Service's Engine, but Sine not too far ahead.
Too bad they don't still offer older Kontakt libraries.
I only but Kontakt libraries from Spitfire.
I refuse to buy anything with Best Service engine. Few can remember that was developed by Yellow Tools. That is the best example of developers making anti piracy a priority over the quality of the product. That player us also shared with Magix software which still includes the Independence library with Samplitude and Acid,

Their plugins seem to have stood the test of time so far though, that's why I like them. If you take these guitar amp sims and compare to other companies, who constantly seek to update to new paid versions and the originals are left to rot - it causes so many more problems for me and you're updating for the sake of it a lot of the time. Plus older projects may fail to work if you own v4, and it was v2 in the project. Winds me up!
A project you create today with these plugins will likely load the same in 5+ years time. And that's what I personally find most important. The updater app can be easily quit so just not an issue for me.
Just like every plugin on a Windows system. Not a reason these days. See Waves

I avoid UAD. Their app always starts up with no option to change. You can be in a plugin scan and all of a sudden their app decides to update.

30 GB of hard disk space for each piano title - challenges EW, Soundpaint, for drive space.
MODO series is great and has physical modeling. If they could do that with their pianos.........

It's good that you wrote that. I used to think that companies like Fender and Wilmar worked for free and just for fun.
Nope we are suppose to treat them like a charity.
Just because I used a product for free doesn't give me any compulsion to try a year sub. Not much different to me than charity.
The best value of paid DAWs is Reaper. I don't not need their pro license for $250 so should I buy it because "they've been good to me".
I think I already practice charity by purchasing upgrades of DAWs I rarely use.
Like yesterday - that $99 DAW upgrade that somehow seeped into this forum.

I think I'm getting more turned off with free with purchase. We spend more time searching for that bottom dollar item to get it. You basically end up with 2 things you rarely use
