The Ronald Passion is 32-bit. I can get DSK 32-bit instruments to work, but this one makes Cakewalk crash.
Looked good in a YouTube review.
Just saying, no recommendations.

Thanks chaps , what I failed to mention was that I´m thinking ou using an old analogue Hughes and kettner tubeman ,before the interface , I guess i´ll just give it a go and see what happens ,I´m now looking for a free Bass amp vst , i found one called ``ronald -passion´´ but it wouldnt install ???
thanks for the info`s

Hi chap`s Ive just recently finished another song using all the virtual amps , but found that to get a good tone I had to use a lot of treble, I´m thinking of putting the guitar firstly into a Pre-amp and rom the pre-amp into the audio interface ? any coments or what do you advise ? cheers PB

Hi D Just a another super track , ``Transparent´´ that`s the word I´m often searching for to explanin a a track , you have so many layer`s and yet it never sounds muddled (like mine) the drum`s are just great , in fact its all rather great cheer`s

I love that clean guitar tone, it's the highlight of the mix! I also like your vocals which convey that 80's sophisticated alley vibe.
Cool bends of that lead guitar as well!
Mixwise, the drums are pretty far back, maybe scootch them forward a tad, particularly when there's no vocals. Maybe go full 80's reverb snare? I dunno. Just drums louder would be an improvement.
I also was missing the bass guitar, but in this song it's not a feature.
The main parts, vocal and guitar, are very strong. Well done you night ranger!
cheers,
-Tom
Thanks Tom for your comments overall I´m pretty happy with it especially the virtual amplfiers they just make the whole process much easyer , I had a lot of fun with those , couldnt find any bass amplfiers though , I used my bass guitare through a normal amp and then compressor cheers paul

Paul - nice guitar - not getting a lot of bottom end on either the drums nor base - could well be my end, as listening on some pretty small monitors today!!
Other than that, pretty good
Good job
Nigel
Thanks Nigel , I did compress the bass and in my headphones they seemed .ok I think I need a better pair , yes the drums could do with bit more punch I really didnt want to complicate the mix too much thanks for your comments Paul

Hi Chaps , well I took onboard all the tips ,info`s and comment`s of the last year, so I took my time used just the virtual amps and a few vitrual effect`s ,but I think it was just a case of taking my time and not rushing , the song is a bit selfindulgent but hey who wants to be popular , (if I wanted to be popular I´d wear make-up learn how to dance) so as always all coments tips etc are more than welcome .Ive got thick skin, and stomach to boot thanks for all your support Paul DB

Hi chaps , Ive been using bandlab for about a year now and I now find myself using more effects compresser`s etc during recording Iand playback I find that now there are more and more blips and pops also the time curser stuttered once is freezing the tracks an option ?and how does that work ? any help would be gratefull cheers PB

I just had a quick listen maybe 50 seconds sounds amazing ...I`m comming back to it later with a glass of red wine ...

Lovely song very relaxing, nice vibe. vocal really nice . I personally wouldnt overcomplicate it with more instruments ..I do that way too often on my songs

Hi chaps and once again thanks for all the encourgment , to be honest the way i look at the suff I write (in my fantasy world) is I write the song hand it over to producer who is : much cleverer than I and a much better muscian and clears up my mess I gave him in the real world however is somewhat different , so I´m struggling with the production side of things on many /all levels but the more i do the more I feel I´m getting the hang of I must say ``kid´´ should have been started a new from the begining and the old recording just used as a reference , Im rarely happy with my songs although i thought the subject matter in this song was quite good I think the next song I´ll post the lyrics as well .if only I could find that bloody film ..british film director
cheers guys Paul DB

Hi Lynn Thanks for the input ;I´ll really have to reprogram the drums from start to finnish ,I´ll wait untill the weather is so bad that I´ll have to stay in the studio, in fact I´m surprised by the response to this song I wasnt sure if it merited the time, it seems once again I was wrong , and thats the great thing about this forum its a great sounding board . almost every song I write I`m never sure if its any good .

Hi Douglas , yes I really do struggle with the drums, in fact I do try make them more interesting but it seems the more fills and changes I put in , the more it sounds cluttered and out of time Aaaaghh if you whatI I mean , i´m working on a new song , no melody no lyrics just keys- guitare I keep the drums as basic as possible to keep a clear head and then add fill it out later cheers thanks for the comments Paul DB

Soo cool , totally my cup of tea . bloody great..... I cant turn it off..

Thanks Tom, thats a good stratigy maybe i should mix the vocal even louder to distract from the crappy mixdown , I must admit though I´m slowly trying to assemble a constant method to my recording to give better results ..I will get there ...in time thanks for the response cheers . keep well paul DB
