I think that a good business and commercial gesture would be for pluginguru to put the Unify standard as a free Player to encourage the purchase of different expansions, personally it is expensive for me to buy a player that only incorporates instruments and effects which by default are free... Does anyone think the same?

There is incredible intellectual property in the build of Unify.  Unbelievable time and energy put in by both Shane and John.   That doesn't make sense as they are trying so hard (and generously) to get it started from their own energy and ideas.  They are not a faceless corporation.  They offer their time every weekend where users can interact with them as the build and journey continues.  I can't think of any other tool and sound design company that provides that kind of access and interaction with customers.  The Unify platform itself is loaded with innovations that aren't available anywhere else.  It's not just an empty platform to bring up instruments from others, it puts other instruments on steroids.

  2. I looked at this, and put it in the cart.  I happened to have the prior product Bollywood Maharaja - because I had that the price was reduced to $39.

In case you happen to have that product and had any potential interest, that's the more enticing price.

Sanjay has a slight talk about it from a clip several weeks ago that prompted my interest to look at it further.  The Beatskillz intro video on Bolly-X is limited to only some sound examples.  Sanjay shows it.

  3. CodeMeter is mysterious and I don’t trust it.  It was a pain with Avenger.  But with Antares it seems behind the scenes with no configuration required.  Antares also keeps licenses and info on what you have within their tools so downtime for recovery from them does not seem too concerning.

But as a general comment I would pick an iLok license over a CodeMeter license any day.

  4. Went through the EZKeys2 YouTube clips released this morning.

The feature set has everything I hoped for.  This is going to be fantastic for me.

Yes, definitely a Studio One thing. The updated Waves Central installs a new v14 Wave Shell.

Plugins for v12 were fine, but I had to force Studio One to re-scan plug-ins to pick up the new v14 Waves Shell. Apparently S1 fails to auto-detect the new point release for "14.12".

Select "Update Plug-in List" in Studio One (forces a re-scan at DAW start-up). Found in S1 Menu > View > Plug-In Manager.

I’d like to double or triple thank for the steps described. Very helpful!!

When I decided to add another year of WUP before the 26th I checked Waves price. I'm 99.99% sure it said $250.

All my stuff was already WUP'd thru 25 Jan 2024. Proud to say I never foolishly bought Waves duplicates. Can't say that about PA though. 🙂

I went to two resellers (while I still could) and got a price of $225 and $223. I took the $223 price.

$240 was the max if not adding stuff still under a WUP.

They should bring everyone's plugins version to 14 for free for this fiasco

That’s a good idea. It would be a nice reconciliatory gesture if  give their customers something to restore our trust and soothe our trauma.
