It seems to be much missed by the people who used it. I don't know the timeline, but maybe Cakewalk, Inc. pulled the plug on it before 64-bit became a must-have thing?
It wasn't quite a must have at the time, even though the writing was on the wall. Also, Cakewalk did one last survey of what things people thought was most important before their last release and "Input Quantization" seems to have won.

This is a must-have.
One of the most amazing sound warpers I've ever heard, and I have the entire collection of delays from both Glitchmachines, Unfiltered Audio, and Freakshow Industries.
Few if any delays do what objeq can do, for sure.

They broke compatibility with Apple's new OS.

Haven't had a chance to play yet, but mostly Juno and Jupiter with Prophet V, OB, and MS-20 thrown in.

On a more serious note, these seem to be provided by MoReVox, who I believe also provided the impulses for the very 80s influenced Dusty Racks libraries. Does anyone know if there is any overlap between the impulses used in 80s Spaces vs Dusty Racks?

Got their Integral Pack, but the three I wouldn’t want to miss are Cosmos, Magnetic II, Echoes and 80s Spaces. Most of their plugins got updated last year.
That's actually four.

The video of Thiago's jam sounds ok, at least for rhythm, but the audio examples don't have a lot of guitar-like sounds.

FYI 1: Here's the old announcement for the MixBox Expansion Pack.
FYI 2: Evidently they were included for no extra fee at some point.
They said they were including it in MB 1.5. I have 1.5 but the Sunset reverbs are all grayed out in mine.
I have and use the TRacks version and rarely use MixBox, so I probably shouldn't care, but I still find that annoying.

Isn't Sunset an addon for MixBox?

Or you get it via the mag reader of your public library for no additional cost.
Another way to get Beat is to pick up Readly for a month.
Just saying. Endless possibilities.
Does beat have any options for being read as resizable/fluid text? I really hate that most digital mags I have come across are just big scans of the pages.
On the other hand, I guess it makes it hard to say "the second word in the paragraph header at the bottom of page 88" when pages are fluid.

What was updated. I'm afraid to do any NI updates/
Over the past couple of days Ethereal Earth , Session Strings, Sequis, have been updated in addition to Analog Dreams. Others may have been updated as well.

Also a few updates to Kontakt libraries for different minor things such as issues with author attribution. Session Strings 2 seems to have had an issue with sequencing.

What are the odds this is moved into the regular Komplete tier?

Seven years of not having to pay for updates is quite the bargain.

It looks like you need at least 7.8 to run this.

I have mixed feelings about the effect version requiring MIDI input.
I suspect that in a large percentage of use cases, a person might just want to slap this into the FX bin. In that case, it seems silly to have to have a MIDI track just to hold onto a C note.
However, you can use keyboard as an assign for things and use the envelopes. Also the comb filter takes in MIDI input, which can be used for some interesting vocoder like effects.

It doesn't seem to be available in Arturia installer just yet...Edit: it's there now.

QuoteArturia has also added a significant amount of new sound content, adding 100 new presets as well as new stock wavetables and samples. There are also three new add-on sound packs available.
In all, there’s nothing massively revolutionary here, at least compared to previous updates, which have added entirely new sound engines and significant new features. If that sounds underwhelming though, it’s worth remembering two things – firstly, Pigments is already comfortably one of the most powerful software instruments on the market, and secondly version 5 is a free update for existing users, so it would be hard to argue that it’s not good value for money.

By my count there are 16 free for analog lab/pigments. That's not too shabby.

32 presets emulating the sounds of classic songs with varying degrees of success. Songs emulated include "Cars", "West End Girls", "Thriller", "Running Up That Hill", and "Wonderful Christmastime"

I think the verdict depends on what version of Kontakt you have.

Same for 40s Very Own Drums, Empire Drums, Karriem Riggins and I assume the other similar library that I don't have and can't remember the name of right now.
Also curious they added all those effects and no mention of new presets to take advantage of them.
Swag, please?
