  1. @JohnKIt seems we are incompatible. I focus on the end result and you seem to fixate with Vsti midiout. Good luck with your laborations. 👍
  2. About complicated; Do you know about multitimbral? Which means you have 16 different simultaneous sounds in one of those plugins. S-YXG50 needs special software to access individual sounds and fx. With TTS-1 you have access to individual sounds and fx.
  3. Am i missing something? The answers seem unnecessary complicated? The thread starter mentions "...to have two different VSTi's playing the same passage". If i have a miditrack with a midimelody routed to an instrument track with a softsynth i make a new instrumenttrack with another softsynth and copy the miditrack to this new track. Alternative copy to a new miditrack and route that to the new track/synth. Just drag the midiclip to align with the original in the timeline. You can also copy a part of the original midifile to the new track and align it. Then it only plays that bit with the second softsynth. As usual i came up with a bit more right after submitting post. If you have cc values it copies those too so you have to delete those in the second track if you don't want them.
  4. Ok. Enough. I got that from Scook's post yesterday. I am pointing out that not everybody testing your daw is professionals and get that. They would get it much faster if there was no gain knob in the track when they setup to record audio. They see the gain knob for master and check another track, which probably is an instrument track, and they see a gain knob there. That would be enough for most people to draw a logical conclusion about the gain knobs. PS. Ask someone that understands people. Searching for an answer in a manual is something most people avoid until they are forced to. Ok. That's enough from me on this topic. You can discuss among yourself.
  5. Let me say this instead: Please, invent something diferent for gain control. As a free daw there will be hundreds of thousands falling in to this trap, believing it would increase the volume of the weak audio input signal. Of course they will get it by trial and error. But it is an unnecessary irritation. Maybe hide the gain knob for a track when you select an audio input? And arm it?
  6. You're writing about an analog console. It isn't needed because you can record directly to tape and play directly from tape. Thus the console could be considered an fx.
  7. Oh, i've also been thinking wrong about gain. I get it now - it's only an audio fx in knob form. 🥱 Shouldn't it be with the other audio fx? Why has it got its own knob?
  8. You could try midi channel 1 as input instead of omni.
  9. I have win7 and did a check. There's 53 vsti's and nearly all of them has "Enable delay compensation" on. Only 6 of them hasn't got it on and those where the 32-bit ones.
  10. Push the j key once and then you are in scrub mode. Move your mouse cursor over the notes while holding leftclick. Another push on the j key takes you out of scrub mode.
  11. ^^^^ As he said. I have a manual for Grace. I cite; The installer will install the installation paths in the windows registry. These are used by the Grace installer when running updates.
  12. O...wait a minute. I=A is also quite logical. You knew that didn't you? But were to polite to say anything. 🙂
  13. Well it can't be I because that's logical. I would guess A.
  14. @Hillmy I hope it's ok if i help a bit? I have made a textfile of this. Then you can download it and put it on a usb for use on offline computers. A format everyone can use and also easy to delete lines to remember which you have fixed. Dead fxchains by Hillmy.txt

    Microtone

Don't feel bad. It is a stupid acronym that somehow have been standard, probably by years of group pressure from idiots. It should be TS - Thread/topic Starter - which is the logical conclusion when you're in a forum with threads and topics. Forgive me, i simply had to get that out of my system. 🙏 Carry on ...
  16. If you don't have any midikeyboard you should get that. Every computer have an inbuilt audio interface you can use although it's lower quality than a dedicated audio interface. But you can record audio with it and get a decent result. A higher quality audio interface are also going to need a good microphone, That's more money needed for that.
  17. Unfortunately it does. I'm not sure it was greyed out but it had the column saying 0 of 2 activations. It then changed to 1 of 2 and lastly 2 of 2. Seems you have to use a usb dongle for that. With usb i recommend you take it out of the pc only when the pc is powered off. To be on the safe side. When putting it in it doesn't matter as much. A switch would probably do fine by bearing that in mind. The problem is late writings to the usb file system. If something writes to the usb at the same time you remove it, it will be destroyed. I was a bit hasty one time and there was no way to recover the files on it because the whole filesystem was a mess and nonexisting for recovery software.
  18. I installed a Sonivox bundle and used software iLok. First install of iLok and Sonivox on win 8.1 went ok. Second install of iLok and Sonivox on win 7 also went ok. iLok was aware of the the first install and activation. It gave the option to activate a second time. Then grayed out the activations indicating there was no more activation possible. I have different plugins on the two and can switch between win 7 and 8.1 or have CbB active at the same time in both. But they are not synced or anything i use the mobility of my chair to place myself in front of the one i fancy to jam with.
  19. Cakewalk update does not automatically mess up your Melodyne S4. You have to upgrade your computer to windows 10 and move over Cakewalk and Melodyne S4 to it, to mess up your Melodyne. In short: It's the windows version you're using that decides if it could give you problems with Melodyne Studio 4.
  20. Ok, we'll see about spamming...I use waves and am able to take that. So how hard can it be? I gave them my mailadress and they sent me a mail with the download link and the license in form of a serialnumber. It's 129 MB and an exe saying it's 64-bit. I'm not sure i'll use this because i have Filmora. But if something come up that i can't do in Filmora i probably fire it up and give it a shot.
  21. Yup. Knockout. No mention of Akai so i'm not sure they can be sued.
  22. I've used Fanan plugins. Lacks a bit in user friendliness and loading time of samples is a bit longer than other brands. But besides that it's ok plugins.
  23. Phrasebox is currently on sale for £29 (RRP £49) and the sale ends Monday 20th July. https://venomode.com/phrasebox I forgot to mention that it seems to be Paypal only.
