  1. Ok, I just tried it again with the same mic and no effects. Same thing happens. When I am recording everything sounds just fine. Upon playback the vocal track is ahead of the instrument tracks. I need to nudge the focal track to the right 5 increments to sync up. Weird!
  2. Yes, I am recording the vocal track with effects turned on for the track. This has never caused an issue prior and I am using the same effects I always use on my vocals. I will try it with the effects turned off.
  3. Everything is the same except I am using a different mic for the vocal track. Perhaps I should try my other mic that I typically use for vocals. However, I have used this particular mic to record my wife's vocals with no issue before.
  4. I am not looping a section or punching in. I have no idea what ARM changes are.
  5. The strange thing here in my mind is that, this tune I am working on is the only one that exhibits this behavior! None of my other projects that I've laid down vocals has this issue. And the other really strange thing to me is that it is ONLY the vocal track that is doing this. I started this tune with a MIDI drum track, MIDI strings and MIDI guitar. I then added audio tracks for bass, strummed guitar, picked guitar and harmonica. No problem until I added a vocal track. This is what is so puzzling to me as it is only happening on this project and none of the others...
  6. Ok, thanks for the clarification. What buffer size should I try? With regards to the Driver Mode, if I change it to anything other than ASIO my Presonus Audiobox USB96 interface does not get recognized and instead Cakewalk reverts to my internal sound card.
  7. I am not clear exactly what you are suggesting I try. Could you kindly be more specific? Thanks
  8. The instruments are a combination of MIDI and real instruments. So it's a combo of MIDI and wave files. The MIDI instruments are all TTS-1. There's no issue with the instrument tracks being out of sync. I have not changed or updated audio drivers.
  9. This is really weird and the first time I've experienced this. I am trying to lay down the vocal track to a new song. I've already recorded the instruments. But when I record the vocal track and play it back it comes in ahead of the instrument tracks. In order to fix it I have to NUDGE the vocal track to the right by 5. As mentioned, this has never happened before with vocals I've laid down. Any ideas?
  10. That's great! However, how do I fix this? by the way... this is happening on all 3 of my computers since the update.
  11. I discovered yesterday that with the most recent Cakewalk update that when clicking on the Pro-Channel folder icon in Console view the ProChannel Presets folder no longer opens which it used to, but rather the Cakewalk Core folder opens instead. Cakewalk Version 2021.01 (Build 098, 64bit) Windows 10 Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.804) Example: Click on ProChannel presets folder icon in Console View: Opens the Cakewalk Core folder: Instead of opening the ProChannel Presets folder which is what it used to do prior to the latest update:
  12. When I launched BandLab Cakewalk today I got this message for the first time ever. I went to HELP and REFRESH ACTIVATION and after entering the correct credentials I get the following: 1. Why am I getting the first activation message. Never received that before. 2. What's with the Sign-In Error?
  13. Sure... read that already. The issue I stated is that the marker does indeed move however, it stops at the right side of the window even though the track plays through to the end.
  14. I clicked something I wasn't supposed to and hopefully am explaining this well. But now when I click PLAY the track/transport/cursor/market or whatever it is called moves along the track but stops at the end of the window. The track keeps playing but there is no longer any movement. How do I fix this?
  15. Obviously game is not done or I would be hearing the instrument.
  16. I have my Roland RD1000 88 key digital MIDI piano connected to my Digital Audio Interface with MIDI cables (MIDI Out of keyboard to MIDI In of interface, MIDI In of keyboard to MIDI Out of interface). I insert a new MIDI track in Cakewalk and when I hit RECORD and play the Roland I can see that MIDI data is being captured and recorded by Cakewalk. I want the captured MIDI data to trigger the SI-Piano instrument VST I have loaded in Cakewalk but I get not sound. I am assuming that I need to route the captured MIDI track to another track with the SI-Piano which I've tried to do several times and still no sound. How do I get the MIDI data transmitted from my Roland RD1000 to trigger the SI-Piano VST and record it in Cakewalk? This is driving me nuts! Thanks

What does a disk buffer problem mean and how does one fix this? And, why would this all be happening suddenly?

    Audio Engine Dropout

I have no idea what this means? What is "illuminate FX on the Mix Module"? When you say "what type of drive my audio data is on, are you referring to the hard drive? If so, it is a Western Digital WD6003FZBX-00K5WB0 6TB internal HDD 7200 RPM 256MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s

    Audio Engine Dropout

All of a sudden in one project I am working on when it gets to just about the end of the song Cakewalk stops with the following message: I looked up what message 5 is and it says either the disc is fragmented (which it is not as I just defragged prior to working on this project) or to increase the buffer size in Audio / Sync and Caching / Playback I/O Buffer Size (KB). The I/O buffer size is set to 256 I assume by default. I increased it to 356 but the same thing happens! What size should the be? Why is this suddenly happening as it has not prior at all while working on the project? Thanks
