  1. I have K12U and going to get K14U.
    What looks interesting to me

    Mysteria
    Action Strings 2
    Stradivari Violin
Playbox. Not sure about this one.
The Session Guitarists and Bassist.  Love this series.
    East Asia
    Guitar Rig 6
    Kontakt 7

meh on Added Expansions and Play Series additions

My internet isn't great so it'll take a day or two to download.  I liked it when they offered the HD.

  2. Very nice job, Steve.
I get what you're saying about figuring out a unique or difficult part of a classic song. For a long time I tried to figure out how Klaus Schulz got some of his signature sounds out of his synths. I've come close but not quite there yet. Well, that isn't the same as doing a cover, but your explanation of why you do covers kind of resonates with me.

  3. I like the intro with the  piano and cello (?)
    Very nice gtr phrases!
Vocal seemed a tad too upfront to me and I thought it could use a little delay, IMO.
    Good job.

  4. Rex, beautiful song! PBS had a documentary on country music a while ago and I think your voice is right up there with the best of them. Not sure if you consider yourself country, but the song and your voice certainly has that country ballad sound IMO.

  5. Thanks! I wasn't sure about the drums but I guess the track worked out.
Jeff -   the picture was generated in MidJourney with AI.  I typed in "spaceship bridge with psychedelic colors" and it came up with four somewhat related images and I chose the one you mentioned.

  6. You always come up with really good accompaniment tracks to your vocals but I still have trouble understanding the words. Could be just me though.

  7. Starfield - an intergalactic space voyage.

I'm declaring this one finished after way too many changes and versions.

    Thanks for listening/comments.

  8. Lynn,

    Great title.

In parts of the song, the orchestral instruments brought to mind a soundtrack from a 40s movie with an actor telling a story over flashbacks from the past.  Probably not what you intended and  just my off the wall point of view.

I thought the orchestral instruments worked well  (that bit around 1:50 👍) and the vocal track is up to your usual high standards. The repeated lyrics near the end would work better if just the last word or two in the phrase were used. IMO.

  9. The flute stands out really well, one of the better sampled instruments I've heard.  Very nice melody on top of a jazzy score.

    Bonus:
The birder that I am had to ID the bird in the picture. It's an Eastern Yellow Robin that lives in Australia.

  10. Steve,
Well I guess you've expressed your feelings pretty well here and I totally understand what you're saying.  I was one of those people once and I'll regret it forever.

Very nice guitar work and a clear voc delivery. Great video too! I'm amazed you were able to get so many images that fit the lyrics.  BTW I don't think you needed to put the warning on the vid.

  11. Thanks all. Appreciate the comments.

Larry T -  I was going to extend the ending, but I forgot.  What else is new.  Thx for pointing that out.

Treesha - yep, there's something almost mystical about the landscape in that area.

  12. Hi Kevin,
I don't believe I've ever seen that effect in a video before. Kind of mesmerizing. The soundtrack meshes really well with the story and I like the lyrics text popping up the way you did it. Great job!

  13. Treesha ,  the picture and music make me imagine a pagan gathering at Stonehenge at summer solstice.
Nice choice of instruments and melody lines that bring out mysterious doings.

Wasn't sure at first about the percussive hits which seemed too metronome-like but they would work well as a soundtrack IMO.  I'm still thinking of pagans dancing around a fire at Stonehenge here.  Well done.

  14. Rex, you really don't need to doubt your abilities. You always put out some great songs and this one might be my favorite of yours.  Seems to me it doesn't really need any tweaks except maybe on the low end? Wasn't sure I heard anything in the bass range, not that there needs to be anything there.
