  1. Great song, great lyrics.
0:35  There's a real familiar riff for a couple of seconds here.

A few years ago there were billboards proclaiming the end of the world would happen on a certain date, the date being my birthday.  I thought wow what a great present: Armageddon.

  2. Grove lock  (groove lock?)
Just out of convention I really wanted to hear a guitar solo come in but I think it works if the video is the main focus.

  3. Love every second of it. IDK I just like the attitude behind the lyrics I guess. The guitar, drums  lyrics and the extra background stuff just made the whole package so likable.

  4. Gary, great song!  The vocal styling is perfect for the genre and the harmonies really gel.  I wouldn't have guessed that country music would be popular in Norway, but why not?  BTW I was on a photo tour of Norway last year and have to say it's one of the most scenic places on earth.

  5. Gives me a peaceful and relaxed feeling.
Like Jack mentioned it could use something more melodic on top.
Dialing up the reverb a little (or a lot) would ramp up the cosmic component, as would a bit of delay effects.
    Nice job on this.

  6. Nice one Jack. Different themes going on here but  the instruments play off each other really well.  Enjoyed it.

  7. I agree with the other comments. Also, here's a comment on the lyrics. I like to write lyrics so I pay attention to them and maybe learn from other writer's work. Here the lyrics follow the beat of the music really well. Great choice of words with the  inflection in the right place. I'm thinking it must have taken a lot of time to get them flowing so well.  Great job!

  8. Paul, I know in the past you've had some timing issues with your songs, but I didn't really notice anything off in this one. As others have mentioned  your voice is perfect for the genre.

  9. Tom, sounds good to me from the very start which usually means you've tweaked the freqs to their utmost and all that other sound engineer stuff I wish I could do.

I really like the positive feel of the song and the humor, like being grateful that pianos haven't fallen on your head today, things like that.
Bit of a John Lennon mood to it I thought.
    "That's cheery"  made me laugh.
Couldn't follow the lyrics in a couple of spots, but mostly they came across pretty well.
Anyway, big thumbs up on this one, Tom. Really liked it.

I always like how you process your vocals. The doubling works really well here IMO.
    Great lyrics!

Needs more bottom  to tie things together better, though not that critical.

  11. Keven,  Impressive production/arrangement! Professional quality.
Really like the accompanying BG vocals interacting with the main voc.
    Great song!

  12. Wookie - The lead synth is Cherry Audio Elka-X and I used preset "1492 Lead Lines" with some filter tweaking. I find myself using that vst or Arturia CS-80 most of the time.

Kevin - thanks.  Space music - no need to worry about measures, time signatures or chords and sometimes not even the key you're in.

Nigel, Ross - thanks.  Yeah, I love that movie too. Only thing, I wish they had placed it further off in time, like maybe 2101. Same with Bladerunner. We're way past 2001 and we don't have any of those space ships and flying cars. We do have smart phones though, which I don't think were represented in the movie.

  13. Dean -  thanks!  I'm going to have to look into this ghost code you mentioned. Never heard of it. I think I'm going to do this one again but without the  audio clips from the movie, as per your suggestion. Besides I'm not sure if I'm violating copyright laws with the short clips but I'm not selling anything and this is just a hobby.

    Jack - thanks!
