  1. thanks for reminding me of this little gem, Zo
  2. 3. You were using a network adapter (NIC) which is now disabled. You can't even freely enable/disable your computer parts these times without a trouble. Or if you care to avoid the trouble Windows update will get you there. Sick!
  3. 1692 Participants to 5 free products, 2 Days remaining Hope they will figure out something to make this GB epic!
  4. The TERC chorus !! Although I would prefer to have it as a T-rackS single.
  5. Gotta say... this group buy took me by surprise ! Now I only need to go check how many participants left to the 5th tier...
  6. Didn't read the thread carefully so sorry if I missed some context but yes, for mixing open-back are best. If you're ok with open-back than take a look at Philips SHP-9500. They have great reviews, some say they sound at HD600/650 level (don't have any Sennheiser so can't tell how close they really are) and they sell typically around $60-80. I can put them on and just forget about them for the rest of the day. One thing to point out is they leak a lot, and I mean A LOT. But other than that, for mixing they are excellent. Also Sonarworks has a profile for them.
  7. I've got the reply with my serial so you can either wait a bit more or send them a follow up email and you should get it eventually.
  8. Agreed. It does sound good, it's just half-usable without a proper legato.
  9. I checked with their website too. So they don't give us a basic legato but they're giving their acclaimed flautando instead... mind boggling.
  10. I've done many jobs in the past where printing staff was involved. In working with MIDI Cakewalk has been always great (especially with the help of CALs) but I could never print staff with it because it simply didn't deliver and I always had to reach out for the free Musescore. So I imagine how for educational purposes Cakewalk's staff view would quickly fail even with fairly basic tasks.
  11. Sounds good but does it legato?
  12. Right on! And thanks for reminding me about Soundtoys, they are giving me a great upgrade price every year around Black Friday/Xmas so I should start saving now .
  13. Nope. Plugins need just to be at version at least 10, no need to be WUPed. I can load plugins v10 with WUP expired in 2019. "Waves plugins: StudioRack v11 supports Waves v11 and v10 plugins. See our plugin compatibility chart and plugin latency chart" Ouch! I have many v9 and have paid a price to get them, didn't plan to buy them a second time. Why they always make it difficult...?
  14. Really noble idea but I would be thankful even for something so simple like clicking on a sample in the browser to be able to play it across the keyboard and then just click on another sample while playing back the track to change the sound on the fly. Simple attack/release, sample start/end point and tune. Also stack samples as velocity layers to build a simple drum instrument. Plus audition acidized loops synchronized to project tempo when on a search for 'that one' loop.
  15. And a nice Dimension D which is on my to-buy list. I forgot about sknote because it's sometimes tricky to make his plugins work in Cakewalk. But the one on the movie sounds like a real analog hardware to me. I believe you can fake it in the software but one needs to know what software to use, like I said I know about u-he synths but that's out of my price range and I'm not planning on buying them anytime nearby.
  16. I would have thought so too. I have Synthmaster and I like it but I feel it's giving me a more static sound than what I hear in this video.
  17. Thanks, I'm about the synth bass pulse sound and not about carbon sounds. Like here:
  18. I have a question to you guys. I was listening to this ujam carbon video and there is a pulsating synth sound in the beginning. What instruments are best for making this sound? I've heard about one and it's the Zebra but it's way out of my price range because it's never on a big discount, but maybe something else? I mean, one could use an arpeggiated synth bass sound but there's some liveness to it in this vid that I'm liking.
  19. and I'm actually a keys player used to in-the-box emulation of guitar toys ha ha ha ha
  20. There is one cheap from Plug & Mix bundle, those plugins seem generic but they are all made by different developers and that makes them solid in terms of sound. https://www.plugandmix.com/products/p880-Cool-vibe/
  21. That one seems interesting. Anyone have any experience with it? Can it bridge 32-bit plugins?
  22. You may have to login to your account on ik website to see the crossgrades again.
  23. Was Clavitube offered as a freebie? If so than I missed it! But I think it was only discounted with an intro price not so long ago.
