Be aware that when Garritan say octave 0, in Cakewalk it is octave 2. Cakewalk starts with note 0 being in octave 0. Very often, note 0 is in octave -1.
That's why I have always my base octave set to -2 in preferences in Cakewalk. I believe it was so by default in old Cakewalks and Sonar versions.
Edit: ...and then I have read the rest of this thread...

Nope, I'm a sucker for a good WUP'ing.
That's only one step to WUP-o-philia...
I'll get you a coat.

No, still waiting for Cakewalk to fix the problem. With the early release going, I'm sure they are quite busy. I'll post here when I hear something.
So do you know if it's Cakewalk or Waves issue?

I'm not Wupping next year. Probably not buying any mores Waves either...
Got everything I need now. 🙄
I've never WUPed my Waves plugins, that's why I now have all versions from 9 to 11. But there is still one or two more plugins that I plan on buying so there will be V12 joining the collection one day not to soon...

I can upgrade from Diamond, Vocal Rider and Bass Rider to Horizon + Restoration + Saphire and NLS for $139.99. That's way less than WUP and I'll gain:
CLA Guitars
CLA-2A Compressor / Limiter
... ...
That's a whole lot of new plugins to be WUPed next year

That's the one we're getting free on this year's Black Friday/Christmas for our ever
growingWUPping collections?p.s. With this one I might find the courage to record my wife, finally.

Yes they get upgraded to v12 and they still load fine on old projects that used v9 before.
That's good to know, thanks.

I decided to WUP the v9 plugins that I still use and have used on a great many projects...
If you WUP them does it mean they get upgraded to v12? Will they still open and play fine in projects where they was previously used as v9?
I'm wondering if I upgrade my v11 plugins that are still in the grace period, will they then open and play fine as a new v12 versions in my projects created while they were still v11. Hope that makes sense. I had a problem in the past with updating waves plugins between some v9 editions, like v9r03->v9r06 or something like that, they wouldn't want to open in Cakewalk and I had to reinstall the old version, save presets of the plugins that were used in my project and then reload these presets in the new versions. Sick.

This is exactly the point. Finally I have to clean up after each plugin installer, because they mess up my systems...
I had one installer placing the plugin dll in a subfolder in Program Files and all the files that should go into Program Files went to my Vstplugins folder. Go figure out!

^^At that price I'm buying 1,5 of new Waves plugins on occasion , no idea why should I pay for them second time.

NI is not much better in doing the same.

If it turns out to be AmpliTube 5, what do you think it would be?
2. Ability to use FX outside of AT
Now that would be something! I guess they'd keep the TERC chorus being mono IN unfortunately, just like the original hardware. But still useful as a single anyway.

And I can't enter. Think I need to wait for Fleer leaving first, there might be not enough space for us all...

Loving these MIDI transformation possibilities also for other applications, not only articulation change!

I have V9, V10, V11, V12 installed and Cakewalk crashes when opening a project created before v12 was installed. I can create a new project, add waves plugins and it will open and play back as expected. Luckily Studio One 4.6.2 is fine with this setup. I have open tickets with waves and cakewalk support. I would hold off updating to V12 until the dust settles. I didn't WUP.
Thanks for posting, shawker! And please keep us updated if the issue gets solved. Issues with projects that already use waves plugins is my main suspect when deciding if I should update or not. I have a bunch of V9 and another bunch of V11, of which some I could update to V12 but few would have to stay at 11.

MODO Guitar?
Didn't even think about that, and it's a good possibility!!!
Wondering what it could sound like, given that we have already so many sample-based guitars like those from orange tree, acousticsamples, isw etc...? And no, no spanish guitar on offer .

I was thinking about rack extension versions for my son.

Had to break up the install because it was just taking too long - so I tried installing Mercury v9 1st then everything else.
Mercury installed OK but when installing v11 remnants plus v12 updates - my system blue screened with a corrupted heap error.
and when I tried installing the 2nd half again:
had to locate SoundGrid and shut it down before the installer would continue.
It's still installing... waiting to see more reasons why I should have waited. It reads like fighting a malicious software infection out of your operating system.

Is there any extra offer for those who own these synths as VSTi already?
Amplitube 5 is here - Release Date 15/12/20 or 16/12/20

From the spec:
that's a good step forward, still no way to use the gear as a simple plugins outside Amplitube engine, which I find it to be an excellent idea if they let us, just like with T-Racks modules
and there was an "issue" I had that if I wanted to use the TERC chorus on an electric piano plugin with stereo outputs like most of them nowadays, the TERC would simply collapse the signal first to mono before processing (I was digging in the web to find out more about it and indeed the hardware instance has only a mono input), my naive thinking is IK could quite easily expand that functionality to stereo in the digital domain but I don't really expect it to happen, waiting to confirm I'm wrong on this
