  1. You'll started the afterparty without me!
  2. Also don't underestimate the British Channel. Besides the EQ it has kicking dynamics section that can really twist the sound. Great for soundshaping.
  3. Still says 417.... probably Fleer ran out of cheapos
  4. I blame Fleer for giving away his cheapos!
  5. I know, i've got the trigger finger now as well πŸ˜‚... Perseverance!
  6. I had a friend, he was a Mt Dew man... I already like you
  7. Thanks for sharing! I started doing the same with most of the software I install on my recent PC starting with all the Windows 10 tweaks and quirks. Typically I first run the installer inside sandbox to see what will actually happen on my disk. Believe me in about 90% of cases there are errors and fails or unwanted behavior within the installation processes i.e. the installer won't allow me to choose path and just install plugin to an arbitrary place or install there but will add a subfolder there without notice (for example I'd like to install all "AAS" plugins to 'Cakewalk\Vstplugins\AAS' folder and it'll install then to 'Cakewalk\Vstplugins\AAS\AAS' - some will do it, some other won't and you never know until it's done), or it will install things plus spam the whole disk with many 32-bit and AAX versions en masse. Or in my worst case the installer asked where to put the plugin, it then installed all dependencies and presets along with the uninstall files in there, and the plugin itself where the presets and dependencies should go. Go figure out. And don't even get me started on how many strings are written in the registry with each installation, uninstallers created (and all over the place!) or attempts for overwriting the drivers (pace) or redistributables. In some cases there's just a tiny little file that needs to be placed in the right folder and that's it, why the need for the executables and uninstallers, it takes more space and time than the little plugin file alone. As to IKM, I'm still using the legacy way of installing and authorizing their software, the old good Authorization Manager, since I had it already installed on disk, not because it's less convoluted and such, but just because I long time learned the whole process and didn't want be bothered with learning all the steps you wrote but I realize one day they will finally terminate it in favor of the new PM so I saved your post for that day . For now I'm still doing fine without the PM. Oh I had to install it once because I couldn't find the old way to register new TR5 module, that I bought recently, into my account. Guess they've taken down the website for it, oh well but I could use a spare laptop - no need for even more 'crap' on my main production machine, right? πŸ˜‚
  8. Yes, yes and/or yes! AFAIK the only non selectable as freeware are both the Electromagnetik/Cinekinetik *COLLECTIONS* and ARC w/the MIC, as stated in their description, but you can pick the singles from both collections separately and ARC software as freeware.
  9. Yep just make sure it's one of the qualifying entry product. Did I say just "one"...? πŸ€” 😝
  10. There was always a checkbox to include NKS with installer somewhere at the top in user account.
  11. I absolutely love the Radius algorithm and Mix is my preferred one amongst all for timestreching/pich changing. And I believe I was one of the first people who started asking for bringing it back to Cakewalk after the Gibson->Bandlab change . I understand the other Radius algos are more case specific but not necessarily for a drum type sound i.e. they are most likely going to change the length of audio between transient markers whereas for example the legacy percussion algo might want to try to preserve the length of the drum hit and just shift it around with the marker. For tambou I'd give Elastiqe a try and see if the results are of any better. Ultimately the Radius Mix is the most faithful for me as well no doubt and the most pleasing sounding as I noticed Elastiqe tends to be a little harsh sometimes. Couple years ago I had some play with audiosnap and groove quantize and was quite pleased with the results. There was a function band demo song where bass track didn't go quite well along the drums so I gave it a go and extracted the groove from kick/snare track, or was it the overheads - don't remember. Anyway after applying the extracted groove onto bass track it started sounding definitely more tight and I didn't notice any oddities. Of course I did all the transient marker placements and corrections manually at first, sure I had plenty of time for it to begin with. If I had to do it on a daily basis and for living I definitely would be among the loudest crying users who ask for changes/fixing transient detection πŸ˜‚.
  12. 266 to 8 and dropping off fairly quickly (or maybe my sense of time droppedπŸ˜‚)
  13. Where? How much? ...oh glorious 😍 !
  14. Yeah I've been always doing the tedious stuff manually and never gave it a second thought πŸ˜‚
  15. Check if you can buy it cheaper with Gear Credits (with Jampoints) EDIT: apparently ARC w/mic is not available in Custom Shop (or is it).
  16. I've never experienced these issues myself but that's probably because I've never pushed it to it's limits. Are there more apps having better detection/render than Cakewalk? I saw discussion in the EA thread about it and Noel, or Mark, asking for samples. Maybe it would be good idea if you give them your sample with the description as they are working on it now?
  17. Brilliant.... that will make you enter at the €59.99 level so all Electromagnetiks, Cinekinetiks and the lowest price Sampletank libraries are yours
